In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

David Gonzalez

David is a visionary entrepreneur trying to save our planet through his work, which revolves around finding new, more sustainable, ways of leading our day-to-day lives. A lover of seaweed, he fundamentally believes that it is the crop of the future and sees it as having great potential with regard to positive environmental outcomes. He studied Biomedical Sciences at Warwick, graduating in 2020.

Kaneeka Kapur

Kaneeka Kapur is a former Warwick Law student who graduated in 2021. She is an award-winning social activist, future lawyer and founder of Pardesi. Alongside navigating her own bicultural identity, she has dedicated herself to the empowerment of South Asian women. She believes in creating meaningful representation in all spaces and through building a global online community, encouraging South Asian women to find power in their identities. She studied Law and graduated in 2021.

Tom Westgarth

Tom is an AI Policy Consultant at Oxford Insights, where he works with government departments worldwide to help them understand how they can make the most of emerging technologies. He studied PPE at Warwick, graduating in 2020.
