Aiden Burke

Aiden Burke is a current Junior at Saline High School and is currently involved in activities such as Cross Country, Track, Student Council, Mock Trial, and National Honors Society. He is passionate about politics, government, and the functioning of the United States

Allison Polidano

Alison Polidano is a Certified Public Accountant who owns her own firm, and loves to constantly learn about human nature and emotional intelligence. She wants to raise the awareness of her children and other people that are “Generation Z” of their potential pitfalls and benefits they face from the “Generation X” perspective.

Alysa Zhu

Alysa Zhu is a current Junior at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. She enjoys playing golf and reading in her free time, as well as playing the piano.

Andreanna Ulery

Andreanna Ulery is a current Junior at Saline High School. She is currently involved in activities such as GIDAS/miRcore, Debate, Soccer, Quizbowl, and MHD (Michigan History Day). Outside of school, she enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, and spending time in nature. She aspires to pursue a career in medicine in the future, and hopes to learn more about what students think of as success.

Carmen Lauchu

Carmen Lauchu is a Junior at Saline High School. She is part of her school's Student Council and National Honors Society. She is a varsity Track & Field athlete and likes to sew historical clothing, hang out with her friends & family, read, and listen to podcasts in her spare time. Her speech will be addressing the concept of citizen's political efficacy in interacting with the government and its real-world implications.

Claudia Whitsitt

Claudia Whitsitt is a former educator and the author of eleven novels, four of which are for middle grade students, which focus on diversity and tolerance. She spends hours researching human behavior for her books.

Eva Cueto

Eva Cueto is a current Junior at Saline High School. At the moment, she is heavily involved in her school’s Debate club, a committed player to her school’s varsity tennis team, and a very outspoken member of her school’s Students Against Racism club, where she works to encourage diversity and empower minority voices within her district. However, in her free time, she enjoys activities such as coding, writing short stories, and working with younger students in her town as a coach for the Saline Middle School tennis team. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in IT law so that she can combine her passions of both computer science and politics into one area of study.

James Ulery

James Ulery is a current senior at Saline High School. He is currently involved in activities like debate, quizbowl, drama club and trapshooting. Outside of school, he enjoys growing exotic plants and advocating for social causes. James intends to pursue a career in extremism research.

Kirk Boettcher

Kirk Boettcher is a proud Saline High School Alumni as part of the class of 1988, and attended Washtenaw Community College until he graduated in 1991. Currently, he works as a Paraprofessional at Saline High School assisting students with special needs as well as the Freshman Boys Basketball Coach, and hopes to spread awareness about what life with disabilities is like. He is married and has 3 daughters & 1 son-in-law.

Linnea Paquin

Linnea Paquin is a current junior at Saline High School, and is involved with her schools Link Crew and Math Club. She tutors in chemistry and math, and enjoys reading in her free time.

Maya Mustata

Maya Mustata is a junior at Ann Arbor Pioneer High School. In her free time she enjoys baking, writing stories, and traveling.

Nisha Singhi

Nisha Singhi is a sophomore at International Academy in Bloomfield Hills, and is a member of her school’s Student Council and is on the board of Green Group, a club at her school that promotes environmental sustainability and awareness. She represents her school in Model UN, Forensics, and Varsity Tennis, has been a Girl Scout since the 1st grade, and tutors under-privileged kids at Big Brothers Big Sisters. Her goal is to spread awareness about the harmful effects of balloon releases in hopes of inspiring legislation to ban the release of balloons.

Raghav Subramaniam

Raghav Subramaniam is a high school student in the Detroit area. Fascinated by STEM, he is engaged in the creation of an assistive device capable of transcription and speech synthesis through partial AR and simplified input methods. He is also the founder of One Suryan, a non-profit which aims to uplift voices of South Asian youth globally through posts, videos, podcasts, reaching over a hundred thousand people to date. In his free time, Raghav teaches Tamil to kids in his local community and enjoys playing cricket.

Sabina Montalva

Sabina Montalva is a current senior at Washtenaw Technical Middle College, and is involved in her school’s writing club, and improvisation club. She hopes to pursue a career in animation so she can fulfill her storytelling dreams. In her free time, she draws, writes stories, and enjoys eating mint chocolate.
