world. With our theme “UPTURN”, we seek to present ideas of people who are disrupting the status quo in
their various fields of interests and shaping the world. By sharing their stories on how they threaded the path
of changing the narrative, we hope to spark the desire for change and transformation in our community.

Chinenye Adeleye

Executive Director, Volunteers Hub Africa
Chinenye Adeleye is an award winning professional Volunteer, Social entrepreneur, mentor and an international speaker. She's the founder of Volunteers Hub Africa, an organization that outsources volunteers to Nonprofits for the execution of their projects that has won many awards to their credit. She is also a volunteers consultant and coach, she has trained over 2000 volunteers in non profits within and outside Nigeria which includes reputable organizations like JCI student bodies and TEDxMaitama. Through her organization she has inspired so many young people to volunteer and give back to the society and their community by involving and championing in community-led projects. She's skilled in leadership development, leadership, project management, financial intelligence, team building, and emotional Intelligence. She's an interior designer and strong business development professional with a Bachelors in Counselling Psychology from University of Ibadan.

He is popularly known as Aproko Doctor on social media for his creative use of social media to combat health misinformation and influence healthy lifestyle practices. This is done in an effort to modify the behaviour of Africans and Nigerians in particular and thereby reducing the mortality rate from preventive diseases.

Faith olaniyi is a creative generalist specialized in product and business management. He is an atypical thinker and problem solver who constantly generates innovative solutions to complex problems. He prides himself as a prolific technological management strategist, recognized for diverse experiences across varieties of industries. Faith is a seasoned chief of staff and a member of the chief of staff association in the us. His resourcefulness and expertise gives him an edge in ensuring impeccable result. He has about six years of profound exposure in strategic planning, process optimization, business system building, business development, product and project management gained from across private, public, regional & international platforms.

He is committed to providing holistic care by working closely with patients, families, other healthcare providers, influencing policies, and bringing latest and relevant research outcomes into practice as evidence to support care. He was inducted into the Sigma Theta Thou international honor society in 2021 at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile Ife (Alpha Alpha Upsilon, Chapter). Fawole has worked as a healthcare journalist, content developer, and scriptwriter since his days as an award-winning undergraduate journalist at the University of Excellence, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho.

He has a strong interest and experience with agricultural innovations and technologies. He had his bachelor's degree in Agriculture at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta where he graduated with a first-class. He holds a master's degree in Integrated Pest Management at Harper Adams University, Edgmond, United kingdom, through the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship by the UK Government. He is the founder of Agridec Ltd, an agricultural value chain and consultancy company, who are also involved in extending and training youths and women in climate-smart and agricultural technologies/techniques that increase farmers' productivity and resilience.

Goodness Adeosun

Born in Borno state, north-east Nigeria, Adeosun hails from Ogun state located in the south-western part of the country. She has distinguished herself as an entrepreneur and is the chief executive officer (CEO) of "Gudie" footwear, a fast-rising brand, in Nigeria. Despite the demands of her medical degree, the firm, which began as a hobby, is expanding to become a national brand. Following interviews with various reputable media organisations and recognition by US parliamentary bodies, Adesoun has gained some recognition on a national and international level. She loves music - plays the guitar, piano and violin - and is an advocate for social justice. Adeosun hopes to create a foundation to teach young people how to be entrepreneurs.

His public health advocacy/research works are focused on infectious diseases (such as HIV/AIDS and COVID-19), sexual and reproductive health and rights and mental health. He is the Founder/Executive Director of Slum and Rural Health Initiative (SRHIN), a registered organization in three countries (Nigeria, Ethiopia and The Gambia) that takes quality healthcare to underserved people in urban slums, IDP/refugee camps and hard-to-reach communities. He earned his medical degree at Nigeria’s Premier University and his postgraduate degree at the Pan African University (PAULESI) on a fully-funded scholarship from the African Union Commission, he also has a certificate on Public Administration and Management from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, USA on a fully-funded opportunity from the US Department of States.

Jesudamilare Adesegun-David

Ennovate Lab, a community he co-leads, is an Innovation Hub and a Startup Foundry committed to building resilient innovation ecosystems in underserved university communities and creating borderless innovative solutions for communities of all kinds. A graduate of Agronomy in 2011 and a Teach with Africa Fellow (South Africa) in 2015, he has a knack for bridging the seeming divide between diverse disciplines. In 2019, he was recognized by YNaija in its New Establishment List and his work has been featured in other local and global media.

With a background training in architecture, self-taught knowledge in design, and a burning passion for cultivating talents as a creative- Oladimeji continues to find ways to express his ideas as the Founder of Virtu, [a leading multi-sectorial firm that creates unique spaces through a combination of architecture as well as branding] and the managing partner of Creator Seed, an early stage venture capital fund built for creators who intend to make a living, an impact and grow professionally in the creator economy.

Oluwafikayo Adeyemi-Benson

Community Health and Preventive Medicine Expert
He is a doctoral student of Community Health and Preventive Medicine in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health, College of Applied Health Sciences, University of Illinois in Urbana- Champaign (UIUC). He also worked at the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), Immunization section. Oluwafikayo bagged his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Oyo State, Nigeria and his Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree at the Public Health Department of the University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS). Prior to pursuing his Master’s degree in Public Health, he has invested a lot of time working with several hospitals and community health care centers in his home country Nigeria. He is an avid volunteer to community health initiatives and his interests are in nutrition, maternal health and health disparities.

She is recognised in 2021 as a global leader by the U.S department of states under the International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP).She is an executive of NECA's Network of Entrepreneurial Women ( NNEW). She recently authored her maiden book 'Entrepreneurship is a beautiful thing' which is a business guide for aspiring and seasoned business owners who seeks to acquire business management skills.

Tunde Onakoya

Founder, Chess in Slums
He has organized a number of interventions for children across slums in Lagos state including Majidun (Ikorodu), Makoko and recently, Oshodi. The children are engaged in a 2 week's session that seeks to unlock their potential through the game of chess while learning to read, write and acquire basic literacy skills.
