In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Alexandra Jameson

Alexandra is currently an eighth grader in the Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley class of 2022.

Anna Boser

Anna comes from a background in statistics and public health, and is broadly interested in using quantitative methods to understand ecosystem services that humans rely on for health and wellbeing. Her previous work has focused on air quality in California, including evaluations of the health effects of prescribed burning and estimations of ground level particulate matter using remote sensing. However, she has also worked on the socio-economic dynamics of HIV in French Guiana, and women’s empowerment in Niger.

Benjamin Blair

Benjamin is currently an eighth grader in the Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley class of 2022.

Camille Bruckert

Camille is currently a seventh grader in the Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley class of 2023.

Constance Lebofsky

Constance is currently an eighth grader in the class of 2022 of Ecole Bilingue.

Desi Mundo

Desi Mundo is the founder of the Community Rejuvenation Project (CRP). Under his leadership, CRP has produced more than 250 murals in the Bay Area, Chicago, Albuquerque, and Bologna, Italy. As an artist, he has collaborated with influential aerosol artists ZORE, P.H.A.S.E.2, VULCAN, and RAVEN. Desi also has a long history of community organizing and public art advocacy. He received the Rising Leaders Fellowship from the Youth Leadership Institute in 2005 and has been awarded the Individual Artist grant from the City of Oakland eight times. He has worked with numerous non-profit and community organizations such as United Roots and Phat Beetz and is a member of the Technical Advisory Council for Urban Tilth’s North Richmond Farm and the Advisory Council for the Youth Media Project. For his activism, volunteerism, and artistic contributions, Desi is also a recipient of the Best of the Bay award from East Bay Express.

Elias is currently a seventh grader in the Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley class of 2023.

Joshua is currently an eighth grader in the Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley class of 2022.

Juniper Hedlunc

Juniper is currently an eighth grader in the Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley class of 2022.

Laura Spiekerman

Laura Spiekerman is a cofounder and CRO at Alloy. Alloy’s API enables financial services companies to better manage their digital onboarding and identity requirements, increasing conversion and reducing fraud for banks and fintechs alike. Alloy works with both fintech companies and banks, including Marqeta, Petal, Brex, Radius Bank and others. Prior to Alloy, Laura lead Business Development & Partnerships at an ACH payments startup and was on the Research & Investment team at Imprint Capital Advisors (acquired by Goldman Sachs). Laura is a proud Barnard College alumna and lives in Oakland, California.
