Tolu Ogunlesi

Mr. Tolu Ogunlesi, our lead speaker, is the special assistant to the president on digital and new media. He is also the 2021 French African Foundation young leader. Mr. Tolu is a journalist on Sabbatical, poet, photographer, fiction writer, and blogger. As a writer, he is the author of a collection of poetry and a novella. His publications have appeared in the London magazine, World literature today, Stanford's black Art quarterly, and PEN Anthology of new Nigerian writing just to name a few. He has twice been a winner of the annual CNN multichoice African journalist awards and has received several other awards from international organizations. He studied pharmacy at the University of Ibadan and has a master's degree in creative writing from the University of East Anglia. He left pharmacy to pursue writing as a career in writing and he proved that against All Odds, Dreams Do Come True.
