This event is open to the public.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Shruti Chand is a young feminist who works on matters of women empowerment. Her contributions are made with the sole motive of empowering a Nepali perspective on feminism. “I work to give Nepali feminists their own personality that finds the midpoint between traditional ideas and modernized ideas. One that is modern but also close to soil”, she quoted on her webinar— where she featured motivational speaker and author, Priya Kumar, Miss Nepal 2016 Barsha Lekhi who is also known for the deep ties with UNDP, along with Dr.Bidita Das who is the head of the dept of 'Psychology in Handique Girls' College'. Today she is working with a reusable pad company to dismantle the trauma around menstruation. “The idea of making biodegradable reusable pads generated in my head when I first read about the rural streets of Accham academically”, she says. "I wish to dismantle the menstrual taboo with the same ferocity used to force away every female from her body", Shruti Chand 2021
