Morgan Raun is a junior at Johns Hopkins University studying Molecular and Cellular Biology and Psychology. Her talk will center around the need for and consequences of women being assertive and how this issue can be communicated to our male peers.

Steven Chen is a freshman at Johns Hopkins University majoring in History. He will speak about how his hobby of repairing typewriters showed him how to learn history in a more intimate and holistic manner than is conventionally taught.

Thaissa Peixoto

Thaissa Peixoto is a freshman at Johns Hopkins University studying Electrical Engineering. Told through the lens of a hiking trip gone wrong, she will discuss why thinking of the worst-case scenario is beneficial despite the discomfort.

Vara Mathiyalakan

Student
Vara Mathiyalakan is a senior at Johns Hopkins University studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. He will talk about how to be a better debater and conversationalist through understanding your opponents' viewpoints.
