In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

He developed ‘Rise Legs’ and his invention of prosthetic cane legs might change the world. His tryst with prosthetic limbs made out of cane is based not just about making things cheaper; it’s about appropriate and scalable innovations. He brings together illiterate artisans in wood working, physically disabled technicians, specialist medical doctors and experts in bio mechanical engineering to make cost effective and elastic prosthetic legs with cane using which amputees can run, play and dance.

Divyanshu Ganatra

He is one of the world's leading orators on leadership, inclusion and innovation. Achievements like becoming India’s first blind solo pilot and first blind Indian to summit Mount Kilimanjaro are just a few feathers in his hat. When he lost his eyesight at 19, he got a earful of free advice like "Your life is over''. He soon found out that it was just people's attitudinal barriers that tried to tell him that he could no longer do what he wanted to do, like make a career in IT, study psychology and pursue his Masters in Cognitive Neuroscience, or follow his love for adventure and the outdoors.

Dr Prasad Dandekar

He is the pioneer of Surface Guided Radiotherapy in India, and also one of the first adopters of the precision radiotherapy technique RapidArc. He is the first to have designed and run a Radiation Oncology Department in a completely digital and paperless manner. He has served as an Executive Committee member of the Foundation for Head and Neck Oncology, he was selected for the prestigious Kamal Nayan Bajaj Fellowship for young leaders. He is also part of the LGBTQ+ community.

Shalini Saraswathi

She is an adventure enthusiast, public speaker, and Deputy General Manager at Firstsource Solutions. In 2012, she was infected by a rare bacterial infection, Rickettsial, due to which both her legs and her left hand had to be amputated, and then her right hand broke. She’s now a professional athlete and a 100 meter sprinter. Ms. Shalini is also an avid blogger. She was recently awarded the “Iconic Woman Award” by the Ladies’ Wing of the IMC Chamber of Commerce. She is an Ambassador for Adventures Beyond Barriers Foundation, and is involved with Saviour of Soul.
