Forensic Odontologist and Human Identification Expert

Dr. Hemlata Pandey is the first forensic odontologist in India to have an exclusive Forensic Odontology and Human Identification Laboratory at a Government Hospital. She has experience of about 12 years in the field of forensic odontology and is a Member (India) of the INTERPOL Forensic Odontology Sub Working Committee. She regularly provides expertise to various state investigating agencies in India as well as to CBI and is a faculty at Maharashtra Police Academy, North Eastern Police Academy, Police Training School. Dr. Pandey has extensive experience of on-field work in the identification of unknown remains, exhumation, Disaster victim identification, injury assessment, age estimation, cases of child abuse, sexual assaults and has been a part of disaster management operations. President - of the Association of Forensic Odontology for Human Rights, and is active in the field of humanitarian forensics.
