TEDxEHLLausanne will be a conference being held at the Ecole hoteliere de Lausanne campus, Chalet a Gobet in October 2021. The aim of the conference is to provide students and faculty members of EHL with the TEDx brand and experience together with educational components, in hopes to gain insight on the theme of: Disrupt, Adapt, Change. The conference will provide food & beverages, as well as networking opportunities with speakers and other guest members.

Cornelia Kausch

When it comes to leadership, Conny has walked the talk. After serving as a director/CEO of international hotels for over two decades, she started her coaching and consulting business in 2005, empowering leaders & their teams to face turbulent times head-on. Since then, she has fine-tuned her methodological toolkit and embraced the psychodynamic approach she learnt at INSEAD under Manfred Kets de Vries. Conny brings to each coaching challenge an invigorating can-do attitude as well as non-judgmental patience and resourcefulness forged f rom real experience.

Dr. Laura Penn

Dr. Laura Penn is a passionate advocate for disrupting the status quo for how we speak in front of audiences. Professional speaker coach, international keynote speaker and author, she is a pioneer in the field of leadership speaking, founding The Leadership Speaking School based in Switzerland back in 2010. She specializes in transforming leaders, teams and changemakers from the world’s most well-known companies and organizations into speakers who are authentic, accessible and memorable. She empowers them to be themselves, to take up space and to enjoy the experience of speaking so that they can meaningfully connect with their audiences and bring their messages to life. Her talk will share her deep wisdom, passion for movement and personal experience into how we can connect with our audiences...authentically.

Ella Baker-Puttini

Student
Ella Baker-Puttini is a Swiss-American 2nd year student at the EHL Hospitality Business School. Previously, she has taken on several leadership roles, such as being the captain of her high school ski team and class representative. After graduating high school in the US, she returned to Switzerland, later completing her internship as an F&B supervisor at a luxury hotel in Malta. Speaking Italian, English and Spanish, she looks to connect with students around the world through her experiences.

Jasmin Karatas

Gamification Advisor
Gamification, Games and Business and everything between, Jasmin is the one to ask. She is on a quest to lead Gamification and Behavioral Design to success. Trained as a product designer and armed with more than 7 years of experience in service design, as well as founding her own company, Jasmin follows her ambition to inspire people with passion and emotions. Fascinated by the worlds behind the screen, she explores which decisive role emotions play in games, and how games have the power to change our world, bringing back fun and excitement into reality.

Lance Borvansky

Computer Scientist & Entrepreneur
Lance Borvansky is fascinated by how information and access to it are evolving and affecting our behavior. An electrical engineer and computer scientist, his early work focused on groundbreaking research in the fields of running robotics and artificial intelligence as part of the MIT research team which eventually launched Boston Dynamics. With additional interests in banking and finance, he turned to the capital markets where he worked with adaptive algorithms to improve asset and risk management processes. Looking to expand both professionally and culturally, in 2000 he relocated to Europe and entered the world of Swiss asset management, family offices and algorithmic trading. With the many recent changes in finance, he pivoted his proprietary data technologies towards FinTech & PropTech launching a tech startup adventure in property management.

Nik Bärtsch

Performer & Pianist
Pianist, composer, and producer Nik is interested in the influence and combination of music and movement. He is the co-founder of the music club EXIL in Zurich and the owner of the label Ronin Rhythm Records.

Youri Sawerschel

CEO & Founder at Creative Supply
Youri Sawerschel is the Founder and CEO of Creative Supply, a branding company present in Zurich and Paris. Youri has driven projects focused on creating, launching and managing brands in Europe, China and the Middle-East. He has worked with brands as diverse as Kempinski Hotels, UBS, EPFL, Cemex, digitalswitzerland and Mondelez. Youri is a lecturer at the EPFL in Lausanne, the ESSEC Business School in Paris, EHL (Lausanne/Singapore) and Geneva School of Business (HEG).
