TEDxMorristown will explore how to find and use your own creativity by exploring how successful individuals have done just that with success. Speakers come from all walks of life and all cultural backgrounds and have found creative solutions to solve problems and overcome obstacles.

Andy Breckman

Writer, producer, creator of award-winning TV show "Monk"
Andrew Breckman is an American television and film writer, producer, entrepreneur, and a radio personality on WFMU. He is the creator and executive producer of the Emmy Award-winning television series "Monk" on the USA Network, and is co-host of WFMU radio's long-running conceptual comedy program "Seven Second Delay." He has written screenplays for a number of comedy films including "Sgt. Bilko" (starring Steve Martin) and "Rat Race" (directed by Jerry Zucker), and is frequently hired as a "script doctor" to inject humorous content into scripts written by other screenwriters. He is a great example of someone who draws on his own creativity for inspiration despite facing rejection.

Brian Bergen

Entrepreneur/Business Owner
Brian Bergen graduated from West Point in 2001 and served with distinction for 8 years in the US Army. During his service he earned several honors, including the Bronze Star and Combat Action Badge for actions as an Apache helicopter pilot in Iraq in 2005. Brian’s work experience after the military is a rapid progression through a variety of different positions and in different industries. These positions included roles in finance, operations management, process improvement, General Management, executive management at the Vice President level, and entrepreneurship. Brian is currently the owner of Bergen Botanicals, an interior landscape company, and is in the process of purchasing another business. His education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Military Academy, an MBA from Rutgers Business School, and a Master of Science in the Administration of Justice and Security from the University of Phoenix.

Carolyn Dorfman

Choreographer and Artistic Director/Carolyn Dorfman Dance
Carolyn Dorfman is known as a creator of evocative dances that reflect her concerns about the human condition. She is interested in creating “worlds” into which the audience can enter. Hailed as the consummate storyteller, Dorfman, a child of Holocaust survivors, has also created a celebrated body of work that honors her Jewish legacy; its trials and triumphs, its treasured uniqueness and, most importantly, its universal connections. Her interdisciplinary and intercultural approach on the stage and in the community explores the rich tapestry of human experience, tradition and stories. Touring nationally and internationally, her multi-ethnic company appears at major theaters, festivals, universities and non-traditional performance venues. Dorfman is a master teacher, mentor, and a guest artist/choreographer/lecturer at major universities, pre-professional and professional training programs across the U.S. and abroad.

Dale Caldwell

Executive Director of the FDU Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Dr. Dale Caldwell is a Princeton graduate with an MBA from Wharton. He is the co-founder of the Black Inventors Hall of Fame and currently serves as the Executive Director of Farleigh Dickenson University’s Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. In addition, a championship tennis player he was inducted into the USTA Eastern Hall of Fame in 2021 and is the founder of the Black Tennis Hall of Fame.

Sarah Carlson

Recent graduate from the University of Delaware
Sarah Carlson works on the merchant team at Bergdorf Goodman, where she enjoys challenges with creative and concrete thinking. Past accolades include recognition as a two-time winner of the Fashion Scholarship Fund—where she was featured in The New York Times—and a scholar recipient of the National Retail Federation Foundation.

Tereill Peay is the author of My Broken Stiletto, a woman’s guide to up-leveling your faith, finances, and fashion, Podcast Host of the Tee Tea Streets Show, and CEO of Tereill Renee Consulting LLC and TAZ Publishing where she helps authors and entrepreneurs create their stories and build businesses around their brand. Tereill’s mission is to make sure no entrepreneur is left behind and help them get unstuck in their business so that they can live their wildest dreams with ease and flow.
