Priyanka D. Rajkakati

Aerospace Engineer (Ph.D.) & Artist

Dr. Priyanka Das Rajkakati is an Aerospace engineer (Ph.D.) and artist, who explores the use of art and culture towards [sustainable] space exploration. With Assamese roots, she grew up in Delhi and has travelled the world - from Brazil to Hawai'i to next - Antarctica - looking for inspiration for her work. To understand the phenomena governing our Universe, she started with a B.Sc. in Physics from St. Stephen's College, Delhi, and then moved to France to explore Engineering from Ecole-Polytechnique, completing her studies with an industrial Ph.D. in Aerospace from ISAE-Supaéro. On the side, she is also an accomplished artist, with an artwork currently in space on board the International Space Station. Actively involved in S.T.E.A.M. outreach, she has won numerous awards, including a feature in the Forbes India 30 under 30 list.
