In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anna Kandaraki

Η Αννα Κανδαράκη, είναι κλινική ψυχολόγος – ψυχοθεραπεύτρια. Διδάκτωρ της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, και αριστούχος του πανεπιστημίου Paris V Rene Descartes της Σορβόννης. Εχει μεταπτυχιακό στην κλινική ψυχολογία με ειδίκευση στη ψυχοπαθολογία παιδιού εφήβου και ενήλικα. Ειδικεύεται στην συστημική υπαρξιακή ψυχοθεραπεία, και έχει εμπειρία σε όλο το φάσμα της Ψυχοπαθολογίας (αγχώδεις διαταραχές, κρίσεις πανικού, ψυχοσωματικά, συναισθηματικές διαταραχές, διαταραχές λήψης τροφής) καθώς και σε δυσκολίες που μπορεί να αντιμετωπίσει ο καθένας είτε εξαιτίας κάποιας χρόνιας νόσου, είτε επειδή βρίσκεται μπροστά σε σημαντικές αλλαγές και αποφάσεις της ζωής του. Εχει πλούσια αρθρογραφία σε εγχώριο και διεθνή τύπο καθώς έχει συμμετάσχει σε διεθνή συνέδρια ως καλεσμένη ομιλήτρια. Η δρ. Κανδαρακη, πριν εστιάσει στην επιστήμη της Ψυχολογίας, έχει πτυχίο στην Aρχαιολογία απο το πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών , μεταπτυχιακό στην Ιστορία της Τέχνης από το πανεπιστήμιο του Λούβρου και μετεκπαίδευση στο πολιτισμικό management και στην οργάνωση εκθέσεων απο το πανεπιστήμιο του Μόντρεαλ.

Pol Koutsakis

Pol Koutsakis was born in Chania, Crete, Greece in 1974. He has won the National Award for Playwriting twice, in Greece, and the National Book Award for Young Adult Literature in 2016. His Stratos Gazis series of crime novels is published in Greece, USA, UK and Australia. His plays have been staged and won awards in New York and other cities of the USA, as well as in the UK and Greece. He has worked as a Professor in universities in Canada, Greece and Australia, where he resides since 2016.

Yannis A. Phillis

Yannis A. Phillis received his diploma in electrical and mechanical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, in 1973 and his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles(UCLA), in control systems in 1980. He has held academic positions at UCLA, Boston University, Escuela Superior Politecnica de Chimborazo in Ecuador, and the Technical University of Crete, Greece, where he is professor emeritus and was Rector for more than 12 years. In 2008 he was Onassis Foundation Senior Visiting Fellow in the US. He is recipient of numerous awards from Boston University, the Academy of Athens, and the Municipalities of Chania and Assini, Greece, for his service to society, science, and letters; recipient of a “Lifetime Achievement Award,” at the World Automation Congress, Kobe, Japan, 2010; Alumni Achievement Award in Academia from UCLA, 2013. He is an award winning poet and novelist in Greece and the US. He is a member of the Greek PEN Club, and Poets and Writers, USA; Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the European Academy of Sciences and member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.
