We want to cater to the Balch Street residents and frequent visitors of the area. TEDxBalchStreet events will unite the Akron Community, provide food, networking opportunities and spread global awareness within a friendly setting. Our live speakers and attendees will include parents, educators, entrepreneurs, visual artists, performers, health care professionals, criminal justice and business owners. The theme will reflect New Life, New Opportunities and New Vision.

Dr Latrice Snodgrass

Health Equity Consultant
Dr. LaTrice D. Snodgrass is a published author, motivational speaker, certified transformation coach, certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist, Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator, Mental Health First Aid Trainer and the Founder and President of Equity House Consulting Firm. She works full time as a Principal Operational Strategist at MetroHealth. In addition, she serves as an Adjunct Professor and Doctoral Research Chair at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Kelly Parker

Rica Grubbs

Training and Development Professional
Rica is an Akron native and proud graduate of Buchtel High School (1040). She earned her undergraduate degree in organizational business management and her graduate degree in organizational leadership both at Malone University in Canton Ohio. Rica is a doctoral candidate in educational leadership at Youngstown State University with a focus on the impact adult learning and professional development has on workplace culture. She is currently a Training and Development Manager in the largest public school district in Ohio and owns a professional development consulting firm. The well-being of people and her own experience working in various industries as a laborer, middle- management, leadership, HR employee engagement, and training and development along with her formal education and certifications in coaching and diversity, propelled Rica to develop an introspective professional development programs.

Tiffany Skillern

Speech Language Pathologist
Tiffany Star Skillern-M.A, CCC-SLP is a board certified, state licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with an ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence. She received a combined B.S and M.A in Speech-Language Pathology from Kent State University in 2006. Tiffany also received additional training in Food Chaining and the Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to Feeding, which are feeding approaches designed to help children safely tolerate various textures and tastes of food to promote age-appropriate nutrition and development. During her 15-year professional career, Tiffany has had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations and disorders. She has gained a wealth of experience working as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a variety of settings including early intervention, schools, homes, nursing facilities, Acute Care Hospitals, and Assisted Living.
