Estonian Business School’s branch in Helsinki (EBS Helsinki) will be bringing TEDx, a series of well-known inspirational conferences, to Helsinki on the 10th of June. The event, which will be held virtually, is called “Future Synergies” and will focus on the thoughts of several experts from different fields on the future issues that will impact our society. The purpose of TEDxEBSHelsinki will be to share ideas, inspire and create synergy.

Andreas Veispak

Former Head of Unit for Space Data for Societal Challenges and Growth at the European Commission
Andreas has worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers and at the European Commission dealing with a range of areas from industry to the environment to space to digital. He was educated at the University of Oxford where he studied modern history.

Essi Weseri

Leadcast founder, co-host
Essi Weseri and Maria Wasastjerna are the founders and co-hosts of Leadcast, one of the most popular podcasts in Finland. In Leadcast, Maria and Essi talk to inspiring business leaders from different sectors about their career paths and leadership. With around 100 episodes published and more than half a million total plays, Leadcast is today an established brand in the Finnish podcast market and a passion project for the two friends.

Panu Mäenpää

Chairperson for Helsinki Pride Community
Panu Mäenpää is a keen advocate of equal rights and diversity and inclusion being standard practices at the workplace. Panu is the current chairperson for Helsinki Pride Community, a non-profit organization that promotes LGBTIQ+ rights at the capital area, working with social and youth services, promoting and coaching companies on diversity and inclusion and organizing the biggest Pride festival in the Nordic countries each year. Panu was also the chairperson for the National LGBTI organization SETA in 2015-2016.

Perttu Pölönen

Futurist, Author
Perttu Pölönen is a multitalent – composer, inventor, futurist and author. He has studied future in Silicon Valley, co-founded an ed-tech company in Myanmar and written two books about future skills and identities. Pölönen argues that the next revolution will be a human revolution.

Peter Vesterbacka

Peter Vesterbacka is an entrepreneur from the Finest Bay Area at the Heart of Eurasia, Helsinki, Finland. In 2011 Time Magazine named Peter one of the 100 most influential people on the planet.
