x = independently organized TED event

Theme: Breakthrough

This event occurred on
October 1, 2021
Newark, Delaware
United States

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

After being involved all around UD’s campus for the past four years, she is thrilled to be returning to speak as an alumni for this event! Heidi would like to thank her incredible students (virtual and in-person!) and fellow ELA teachers at AI duPont High School and George Read Middle School, the UDXEE faculty and 2021 cohort, and all of her other past educators for always being her guiding lights.
