In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dr Yishawu Azeezat

Azeezat Yishawu is a Medical Doctor and member of the Nigeria Youth Parliament with over 4 years of active experience in grassroots mobilization, citizen engagement, and stakeholder management. She has worked with NGOs like Involve Africa, Constitution Lab, etc. to advance democracy and human rights. She is a Carrington Youth Alumnae, a Fellow at the USA International Visitor Leadership Program and the Young Women Political Leadership School. Former Member Lagos state youth Parliament, Former speaker Lasumsa Senate As an advocate for good governance and expert at galvanizing resources for quality political leadership especially for young people-, she has consistently worked on impactful projects and championed frontline conversations focused on such. She mentors many young people, as she believes that their energy and potential, if properly harnessed, can serve as a catalyst for exponential sustainable development. Azeezat is the Founder of Ethics and Political Leadership Foundation- an NGO committed to driving effective democracy, good governance in Nigeria; and Co-founder of ConstitutionLab- a youth led organization committed to providing Nigerians with working knowledge of the Nigeria Constitution. She graduated from Lagos State University College of Medicine where she obtained Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).

Rinu Oduala

Rinu Oduala is a Human Rights advocate, community organizer and influencer focused primarily on issues of equity, justice, humanity and community advancement. Spurred by police brutality in Nigeria and beyond, Rinu has become a key player in the work to confront the systems and structures that have led to mass incarceration and police killings of Nigerians. She has been nominated for CAHR Aminu Kano award for Leadership, 2020,part of NBCWashington 31 Women creating a positive impact in Africa, one of 2020 100 most influential Nigerians, one of BBC Nigerian Women Leading the Fight for Change, one of LLA’s 2021 #100 Most Inspiring Women in Nigeria, a mentor at Dweebs Global and a Fellow at AdamStart Africa Creative Activism Cohort.

Salem King

Salem King is a content creator, teacher, coach, entrepreneur and social media influencer with growing repute in new media/communication circles. He uses his platforms to share content focused on empowering and mobilizing creative young people to become vanguards for change. Salem is passionate about personal development, sharing valuable ideas and catalyzing growth. Over the past year, he has trained over 1000 creators, been nominated for a TFAA award, spoken at a TEDx event and successfully built a community of young individuals who are committed to growth and catalyzing change. Salem King’s authenticity and delivery is infectious and he has worked with prominent brands like YouTube, MTN, Zenith Bank, Cowrywise, Mentally Aware NG, Wazobia MAX TV, and Channels TV.
