In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ashish R. Panchal

Ashish R. Panchal, MD, PhD is a Professor of Emergency Medicine who is passionate about improving the life-saving care given to patients prior to arriving to the hospital. His research focuses on improving prehospital cardiac arrest as well as defining the risks faced by EMS professionals while providing high quality care. He is also a volunteer leader of the American Heart Association's Emergency Cardiovascular Care Scientific Subcommittee and is the Chair of the 2020 AHA Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. These guidelines provide the structure for CPR training of over 16 million people per year. Through Dr Panchal’s work, he pioneers new and innovative techniques to ensure the understanding, implementation, and refinement of best practices for lay bystanders and health care professionals. Dr. Panchal speaks regularly on cardiac arrest care and has given talks throughout the United States and to global audiences.

Ervan D Rodgers II

Ervan Rodgers is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience and expertise in IT disciplines, as well as business process, project and operations management. Rodgers is married with three beautiful children. He is a musician and a professional DJ with a love of all genres of music. He tends to incorporate his alter ego (DJ Executive) into his leadership style, as music is a universal language.

Sophia Mohr

Sophia Mohr is the first Chief Innovation Officer for the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA). She works to make mobility more accessible, equitable and safer for thousands of transit customers every day. Under her leadership, she spearheaded an effort to bring agencies across 13 counties together to share traffic, connected vehicle and infrastructure data. Her team has also launched the first full-time bus on-demand service in the United States. Mohr comes from the private sector, beginning her career at IBM and working 17 years at NetJets, a Berkshire Hathaway company in Columbus. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial and systems engineering from The Ohio State University.
