Alejandro Ruiz

CEO & Founder of CHECKTOBUILD and former EAE student
Winner of the Entrepreneurship World Cup 2021 in Spain. A Software Engineer and Project Manager who is passionate about innovation and business development. Although he was destined to form part of the Construction sector since childhood, he has always thrown himself into anything that grabs his attention. A good demonstration of this is the fact that as well as being a software engineer, he also writes literature. His plans for the present and future focus on developing his knowledge of project development in the field of IT. He is now the CEO of CHECKTOBUILD, a SaaS for smart project control.

Bárbara Plazas

General Manager and Founder of MAKES SENSE LAB and former EAE student
Skilled consumer psychologist, oriented to obtaining useful insights by understanding behavior and cognitive activity to improve brand and Business performance. With expertise in consumer psychology, behavioral economics, and sensory branding. With a strong sense of teamwork, passionate and resourceful.

Eugeni De Diego

Chef (ExBulli) and Founder of Apluma & Tamaebar
A graduate of the Muntaner Cookery School who started his career in the restaurant Ca L'Isidre, before moving to El Bulli under Ferran Adrià in 2006, where he worked as Head Chef until the restaurant closed in 2011. He also formed part of the El Bulli Taller team and contributed to the content of the book ‘La Cocina de la Familia’. He later joined the El Bulli Foundation, where he works as the Director of Contents. Moreover, he has set up his ventures, such as A Pluma, and specializes in creating new culinary concepts for restaurant companies.

She is a Human Resources specialist with over eight years’ experience leading Planning, Selection, Training and Development, Performance Evaluation, and Labour Relations projects, including trade union negotiation, strategic agility, corporate university, and business innovation in the Mining, Health Care, and Technology sectors.

Helena Resano

Journalist and news presenter at ATRESMEDIA
She has been presenting the news for 21 years and working in television for 24, covering the main news stories over this period as a special correspondent and presenting thousands of hours of live broadcasts. She has a Master in Senior Business Management, which gave her a complete overview of the company and broader insight into leadership and communication. She directs the Master in Audiovisual Communication at the Valencian International University, as well as writing weekly articles in Infolibre and 20 Minutos.

Isabel Sola

Co-Director of Coronavirus Group and expert biologist at the CSIC (National Biotechnology Centre)
A biologist graduating from the Universidad de Navarra, with a PhD in Molecular Biology from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Her doctoral thesis focused on coronavirus. Over 25 years working at the National Biotechnology Centre of the Spanish National Research Council (CNB-CSIC), studying the biology of coronavirus with a view to developing protection strategies. She has published over 70 articles in international scientific journals, participated in 40 research projects, given more than 130 presentations at congresses, tutored 9 doctoral theses and registered 4 patents for products that she has coinvented. She is now the Co-Director of the CNB-CSIC’s Coronavirus Laboratory, working to develop vaccines and identify antiviral drugs.

Izanami Martinez

Founder of Soulgate
Mother, anthropologist, entrepreneur and author of ‘Vivir Notox’ (Harper Collins 2020). After launching and internationalizing digital projects, heading the Spanish Startup Association and sharing her experience at top business schools, she charted a new course and took the firm decision to stop living up to other people’s expectations and start working towards her own purpose. Specializing in neuroscience and human behaviour, Izanami explores the anthropological reasons for the fact that we continue living in half measures, as well as proposing tools to transform the reality that we create.
