In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Avgoustos Pantazidis

Avgoustos Pantazidis is a Career Astronaut Candidate and an astronomer on simulation missions to the Moon with published scientific work on the geological analogues of the planet Mars on Earth. Since 2019, he has been selected in the first crew of private training astronauts of the private American organization Advancing Exploration, while for the last two years he has been participating as a corresponding astronaut in long-term simulation missions to the Moon. An important moment so far was when he was selected in February of 2020 as the crew of the EMMIHS-IV mission at the HI-SEAS facility in Hawaii under the auspices of the European Space Agency (ESA). This journey began when through his diploma thesis at the Department of Mineral Resources Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, he highlighted the common features of the volcano of Santorini and Mars "Santorini Volcano as a potential Martian analogue: The Balos Cove Basalt". Later, at his Master's degree at the Agricultural University of Athens, through the project "Space Agrobox", he engaged in the cultivation of food in space missions. Since 2020, he has been a fellow pilot of the Global Aviation S.A. school, while at the same time he is training for professional "Dive Master" diver.

Christos Lambris

Christos Lambris was born in Tzoumerka in 1961 and in 1981 he went to Athens, where he started mountaineering. In 1985 he took part in the first Greek mountaineering expedition to the Himalayas. During the ascent he was swept away by an avalanche and survived. In 1986, Michalis Tsoukias and he founded Trekking Hellas, the oldest Greek adventure tourism company. He has taken part in eleven mountaineering expeditions to the Andes, the Himalayas and Antarctica. Pioneering activities for their time were brought to Greece since the 80's by him, such as rafting, canyoning, river trekking, etc. He has also worked as a cinematographer in documentary series for Greek television, as well as as a wildlife photographer

Daphne Kalogeropoulou

Daphne Kalogeropoulou is a graduate of the American College of Greece (Pierce College) from where she graduated with honors. She began to study Greek literature at the Kapodistrian University and at the same time music at the Athens Conservatory. However, she dropped out when she received a scholarship from Berklee College to study singing and music. She began her studies in America, but quickly became interested in psychology. She returned to Greece and studied psychology at Deree College, from where she graduated with the honor, Summa Cum Laude. She did an one-year internship in clinical psychopathology at Aeginite Hospital, while at the same time she worked for two years in a Prenatal Control Center, providing psychological support to women with conception difficulties. At the same time, for four years she participated in the political show "x2" with Giannis Politis as a psychologist on the TV channel Action 24. In 2018 she was preparing and presenting the psychology show "Psychograph" on the library channel of Archbishop Ieronymos. At the same time she created her own psychology channel on YouTube in order to provide free psychological support videos to people in need. She has published five books, the last of which is published by Kedros, and in 2020 she wrote the prologue to the book When We Stayed Home (published by Katexis) with 50 stories by individuals and mental health experts about quarantine. She has received three national awards and a special distinction in the fields of art (2000-2002) as well as the Coralia Crocodile Award (2002) which was awarded to her by the American College of Greece. Finally, she has been accepted for postgraduate studies in Clinical Psychology or Psychoanalysis from Universities in America and England. Her studies in one of them will begin in 2021-2022.

Heracles Moskoff

Heracles Moskoff studied Sociology and Social Anthropology in London and holds a PhD in Sociology from the London School of Economics, specializing in the political culture of modern Greece. He works as an Expert Adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Human Security and Immigration Policy. In 2013 he was appointed Head of the Office of the National Rapporteur for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings. He is also the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the National Commission for Human Rights. Moreover he has worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Culture and Media at Panteion University, as an author of opinion articles in the press, as a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute for Immigration Policy, and his studies have been published by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) , ELIAMEP, the Institute of Defense Analysis, the Institute of Local Government, the Maragopoulou Foundation, etc.

Katerina Peftitsi

Katerina Peftitsi is 28 years old and comes from Katerini. She has finished music high school and has studied acting in Boutsina's school and Aesthetics in iek alfa. She is a professional make up artist with distinctions abroad, specialized in sfx make up and lately is actively working as a plus size model. She also participated in the GNTM season 2019-2020 and she is very active on social media instagram - youtube. She wants to create a movement that concerns the acceptance of the uniqueness of each person.

Konstantinos Polychronopoulos

Konstantinos Polychronopoulos and his self-managed endeavour, as he likes others to call it, a social kitchen called “The Other Human” is an initiative aiming to create daily meals for fellow citizens who cannot afford to buy groceries and food supplies. “In the social kitchen we cook live, we eat all together and we live all together!” he says. This is the key factor under which this action operates. A meal with other people on the street is the simplest way to connect and make the everyday lives of the ones in need easier and ours more fulfilled. The social kitchen feeds not only humans, but also their souls.

Konstantinos Poulis

Konstantinos studied sociology and ancient drama in Greece and England. He was involved in theater and the publication of literary texts, book reviews and essays, but eventually, his writing talent and interest in current events turned him to journalism.
