Theme: Smell the Roses

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anna Hight

Anna Hight, 16 years old and a sophomore at Carmel High School, California. Anna enjoys playing the piano, the bass guitar, and listening to music.

Hannah Shu

Hannah Shu is 15 years old and is a sophomore at Carmel High School. Hannah regards herself as a young scientist and is an active participant in science fairs. She has recently been chosen as a 2021 International Science and Engineering Fair Finalist (ISEF), representing Monterey County. In addition, Hannah is a violinist and loves fashion.

Kyle Tianshi

Kyle Tianshi is 14 years old from The Cambridge School. Kyle has published four sci-fi fiction books on Amazon and is in the process of editing his fifth book. In his spare time, he enjoys playing and composing classical piano music. In addition, he loves listening to his Spotify playlist called "Classical Music Stuffs".

Lillian Paul

Lillian Paul is 15 years old and is currently a junior at Carmel High School, California. Lillian is an active volleyball player, both indoor and beach. She is a competitive swimmer, traveler, and loves to jam out to music with her friends. Lillian is a poet and enjoys writing poetry during her free time.

Madison Hart

Madison Hart is a 17 year old student at Carmel High School. After graduating this year, she will be attending New York University in the Fall. Madison’s interests include dancing, teaching dance, non-profit work, and spending lots of time at the beach! She also enjoys reading and listening to

Sage Melton

Sage Melton is 15 years old from Carmel High School. She is in 10th grade. Sage is an avid dancer, dancing 20 hours a week. She plays the piano, loves the outdoors, and enjoys traveling around the world.

Simona Matiyevsky

Simona Matiyevsky is 15 and is a sophomore at Carmel High School. Simona is very passionate about the arts, specifically music. She plays piano, viola, cello here and there, as well as a bit of guitar. She is also very interested in medicine and hopes to peruse that in the future as a career.

Tosin Oladokun

Tosin Oladokun is 15 years old and is a 10th grader at Carmel High School. Tosin is an active athlete and loves to read, sew, skate, taking walks on the beach, and hanging out with her friends.
