Adam Siemiątkowski

high school student
Hello, my name is Adam, and I’m a 15 years old student at 2SLO high school. I am passionate about chemistry and biology, but also about other branches of science. Other than that, I love digging into the world of philosophy. That’s why I am a huge fan of Sigmund Freud and his unconventional theories, which revolutionised the world on multiple levels. Therefore, I would like to investigate the Freudian theories in the context of the XXI century. Besides my academic interests, I enjoy reading books, watching movies and playing computer games, as well as participating in sports activities.

Antonina Stępak

high school student
My name is Antonina and I am 14 years old. I am passionate about political science, literature, and music. I have always been interested in social issues and the subject of my TEDx talk is very personal to me. Internalised misogyny is something I had experienced myself. The "Not Like Other Girls" Phenomenon, which I will be discussing in my talk, is very present in our culture, and it severely affected how I saw myself in my early years and how I interacted with my peers. When compare my younger self to the young girls today I see how little society has changed, and how much change we still need to make to defeat limiting societal standards and give the next generation equal chances regardless of gender.

Ecehan Gozen

high school student
My name is Ecehan Gozen and I am from Turkey. I have been living in Poland for three years, so far it has been a lot of fun getting to know a new place. Here, I had the opportunity to observe some cultural differences and diversities, and I really enjoyed getting to know them. That is why I wanted to give a speech on cultural diversity.

Gabriela Basek

high school student
I value the ability to see matters through different perspectives, thus I love learning new things. I am interested in cinematography, psychology and many other, totally unrelated topics. When I came across a relevant psychological issue that I had never really thought about, I decided to do more research and spread the knowledge about the results.

Hanna Ignaciuk

high school student
Hi, my name is Hania and I’m 16 years old. I like to know what is happening in the world, and observe different social mechanisms. I always try to search for the most objective source, as I realise every platform has its own opinion on certain events.

Jan Dziedzic

high school student
I am a 16 year old young man, who loves discovering our wonderful planet through traveling and meeting fascinating people. My huge passion are mountains, in which I spend most of my free time. I enjoy various activities, such as rock-climbing, ski-touring, ice climbing, or simply hiking. This is why I chose discovering new perspectives in the high altitude mountaineering world as my TEDx speech topic. It is my dream to find my way up o the summit of an eight - thousander, therefore I practice a lot in order to fulfill my fantasy one day. Until now I gained my mountain experience in places like Kilimanjaro, few four - thousanders in Alps, Pyrenees and of course, the polish Tatra mountains. However, I am not stopping here, it is just the beginning of my adventure...

I am also an enthusiast of electric cars.

Marie Herbstein

high school student

Michał Lisowski

high school student
As a prospective student of International Business Administration, I have always been interested in economic, political and legal aspects of societies around the world. Following the rise of Black Lives Matter movement, I was drawn to the issue of racial inequalities in the United States and their impact on citizens’ lives. In particular, I was shocked by the disparities between criminal justice systems as compared to the European model, noticing how it perpetuates the interior social status of racial minorities, realizing that the European public neglected this issue prior to the tragic events in May 2020 which finally initiated a discussion regarding this topic. The talk provides me with an opportunity to connect a representation of the challenges faced by contemporary American society with personal insights related to dilemmas of equality and justice.

Patrycja Grzeszkiewicz

high school student
My name is Patrycja, and I am 16 years old. I am deeply passionate about psychology, which I have been gradually discovering in my life since childhood. In that field, I am mostly intrigued by what stimulates human behaviour. Aside from psychology, I like discussing issues of the 21st century such as climate change, inequality and emerging technological dilemma.

Wiktor Jaszczuk

high school student
My name is Wiktor Jaszczuk and I am an IB1 student in 2SLO IB high school in Warsaw. In my free time I expand my knowledge in terms of economics and financial markets. Following the bitcoin crash in 2018 I decided to study cryptocurrency market and I came across many publications about the possibilities of blockchain, the core idea behind digital currency, and how will it may reform the economy as we know now. But after studying the topic further I also found problems and potential threats created by the speculations going around cryptocurrencies.
