TEDxMinna is an independently organized TED event to be held in the City of Minna the Niger State Capital. It is the first of such event in the history of Niger State. Just like other TEDx Talks, TEDxMinna looks to inspire the community through the power of IDEAS WORTH SPREADING. We are not looking at only inspiring the community, we are looking at inspiring the world by leveraging on the over 22.2 million subscribers to the TEDx Talks YouTube Channel spread across all countries of the globe.

TEDxMinna was conceived by a group of young people with a passion for Niger State, but the desired outcome is that TEDxMinna will be the birth of a new mentality and positive change. The event seeks to bring people of all ages, gender, tribes, religions, political ideology, etc. together for an improved community.

TEDxMinna has come to stay and will be an annual event only to be held once a year. The theme for the events would be based on factors influencing the community. For the maiden edition, the theme adopted was CHANGING MINDSETS, this was coined by the team because the first thing we have to do to improve the community is to unlearn and relearn then adopt a fresh mindset. The Theme for 2021 is ONE VOICE which was coined from the need for unity among the members of the community.

Why The Theme "One Voice"
The theme of “One Voice” was selected because of the need for unity and oneness in the community. Unity is the key ingredient for every successful recipe. Be it strengthening family bonds, winning games, or experiencing mere miracles of friendship. Unity plays an important role in achieving everything positive. The interesting thing about it is that it manifests in several ways.

✦ There is no such thing as a ‘self-made’ man. We are made up of thousands of others. Everyone who has ever done a kind deed for us, or spoken one word of encouragement to us, has entered into the make-up of our character and our thoughts, as well as our success.

― George Burton Adams

Sometimes unity means pulling yourselves together as a community when life seems like a big debacle and speak with ONE VOICE, sometimes it is taking one for the community, sometimes it is a slow, patient move towards familial bonds, or sometimes it is sticking it out through the thick and thin with the community.
