In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

He has also completed the Level 3, Islamic Finance Qualification from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment, UK.

Jahanzeb Burana

Jahanzeb Burana is the co-founder CEO of Hoopoe, an ed-tech start-up with the mission to raise the level of education in Pakistan. He holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BSc Hons. (Gold Medal) from LUMS. He was previously CEO of the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, the investment promotion agency of the government of Punjab. He has held various senior leadership positions in his career including sitting on the board of a bank in Europe and several state-owned entities in Pakistan.
