Welcome to TEDxStPaulsSchool! With a mission to expand the boundaries of perspectives, innovation, curiosity, and knowledge, we are proud to say TEDx is coming to our campus. On the first Saturday of May, our team will feature speakers from St. Paul's School that aim to create a spark, to start interesting (and sometimes disturbing) conversation, and to challenge the status quo. Our goal is to bring together people who have a story to say with people who have an ear to understand while inspiring action in all aspects of knowledge.
With a changing world at our very feet, the team has decided to select New Horizons as this year's theme for TEDxStPaulsSchool. Named after the NASA spacecraft that has currently traveled three billion miles through the abyss of space, we agreed it is an accurate simile to what high schoolers have gone through in the last year. From the COVID-19 Pandemic to the extreme political divide, high schoolers have grown up in a chaotic mess and learned to call it normal, so what is next? That is what TEDxStPaulsSchool will attempt to answer. By featuring speakers that captivate audiences using profound knowledge, we aspire to show the world that New Horizons are coming.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxStPaulsSchool, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxStPaulsSchool event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
