Bhvaneswari Rajshekar

Environmentalist, Working towards safe menstrual hygiene for women.
She is into teaching for the past 25 years. Currently Principal of NRB Junior College, Nerul She has been working on spreading awareness on the need and Importance of keeping our society clean and green. Had initiated a Women Self Help group called Helping Hands under team *MISBA* (Mahila Initiative for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan) Under this initiative She has been conducting workshops on menstrual health and hygiene and also conduct tree plantation drives. Currently she is doing a radio talk show on Swachh Radio Navi Mumbai . Through this she interviews Environmentalists and green Warriors across the city who share information about their various Eco friendly projects.

She is 56 and is passionate about reading, writing, Counselling, designing courses and training. She loves to work with all age groups, but find children very intriguing and fun to interact with . She is creative and full of ideas. She is the happiest when in nature and travelling. Gardening and growing is her second nature. Has done many tree plantation and workshops to create awareness and encourage all age groups to save and conserve our environment.. Has a group GaPP on FB Gift a plant project which encourages all age groups to gift plants and trees. Has encouraged the society to do plantation and gift plants on all occasions including diwali and ganpati.

Animal Rescuer, Wild Life Photographer
A Software Engineer turned Entrepreneur in the Shipping Industry, a complete Nature lover to the core & a Nature/Wildlife Photographer based in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. He has travelled the Indian geo from Raj to Meghalaya & Himalayas to Andaman. A globe trotter in search of Wildlife since 2015, he has visited many natural habitats from the Cloud forests of Costa Rice to the Rainforests of Thailand to the Savannahs of Africa & photographed Wildlife. He has been an Animal Rescuer, especially Snakes, since 2000 in the Vasai-Virar region and a member of Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) since 2005. He has also been an Active voice for Save Karnala Bird Sanctuary, Save Aarey and Save MNPS campaigns. He has been doing Plastic cleanups and Tree plantation drives at various Forests, beaches and treks like Kharghar Hills, Karnala, Kolad, Tungareshwar Hills, Nagla Block (SGNP), etc He has not contributed any organic waste to Landfills from his Home since 2017 & believes In sustainability

PhD student at IIT Bombay, Biodiversity Activist
Tarang Sarin is a PhD student at IIT Bombay. He has been living in Kharghar since 2012. He has documented the biodiversity of Kharghar in its hills, wetlands and grasslands nicely and his main interests is in birds. He has also created a facebook group called Biodiversity of Kharghar. He has surveyed the biodiversity of Kharghar thoroughly. He has requested BNHS to give Kharghar wetlands a protection status.He does tree plantation and composting. He is writing a book/paper on birds of Kharghar. He has spread awareness about biodiversity of Kharghar through his photography. He has led a batch of 20 people, individuals from across the Mumbai (CST, Thane, Andheri), a for birdwatching in Kharghar. He works with team doing conservation and environmental activities in Kharghar.

Uday has always been enthusiastic in bringing a change and doing something for the planet. And Countdown 2020 is one of those opportunities.
