In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Elena Tioli

Responsible consumption blogger and author

Elena Tioli è freelance, collaboratore parlamentare in commissione ambiente, giornalista, autrice, produttrice e membro dell'ufficio stampa per il Movimento per la Decrescita Felice, blogger e scrittrice. Ha creato il blog e scritto il libro Viveresenzasupermercato, pubblicando la mappa dell'Italia equo-sostenibile. Per Elena la missione è chiara: c’è un altro modo di vivere, di pensare e di parlare e spesso questo modo è legato a doppio filo al modo di fare i propri acquisti. Elena Tioli is freelance, parliamentary collaborator in the environment committee, journalist, author, producer, member of the press office for the “Movimento per la Decrescita Felice”, blogger and writer. She created the blog and wrote the book "Vivere senza supermercato" (Living without a supermarket), publishing the map of fair and sustainable businesses in Italy. For Elena the mission is clear: there is another way to live, to think and to talk and often this way is linked to the way we do our shopping.

Leonardo Setti

Renewable energy and bio-fuels researcher and lecturer

Leonardo Setti è ricercatore e docente alla Facoltà di Chimica Industriale e dell’Università di Bologna oltre a essere un esperto di energie rinnovabili e bio-combustibili. Dal 2018 è membro del Consiglio Direttivo dell'Osservatorio per la Sostenibilità Ambientale e dal 2020 è membro del Comitato Scientifico della Società Italiana di Medicina Ambientale. I suoi studi hanno permesso di identificare la relazione fra inquinamento da polvere sottili e diffusione del COVID 19. Leonardo Setti is a researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial Chemistry of the University of Bologna as well as an expert in renewable energy and bio-fuels. Since 2018 he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Observatory for Environmental Sustainability and since 2020 he is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Society of Environmental Medicine. His studies have identified the relationship between fine dust pollution and the spread of COVID-19.

Margot Gomis

B Corp School ambassador

Margot Gomis, 19 anni è studentessa di Scienze Ambientali all'Università Sapienza di Roma ed è divenuta ambasciatrice del progetto B Corp School, finalizzato a promuovere i principi dell'imprenditorialità sostenibile nelle scuole, dopo avervi partecipato con l'ìdeazione di una start up dedicata al calcolo del risparmio CO2 grazie alla mobilità sostenibile. Da allora si occupa di diffondere i progetti B Corp school, dentro e fuori il movimento delle B Corp. Margot Gomis, 19 years old, is a student of Environmental Sciences at the Sapienza University of Rome and has become ambassador of the B Corp School project, aimed at promoting the principles of sustainable entrepreneurship in schools, after having participated with the idea of a start-up dedicated to the calculation of CO2 savings through sustainable mobility. Since then she has been in charge of spreading the B Corp school projects, inside and outside the B Corp movement.

Raimondo Orsini

Director of Fondazione per lo sviluppo sostenibile (Sustainable development fundation)

Raimondo Orsini è il Direttore della Fondazione per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile, il principale network della green economy italiana, composto da circa 120 imprese ed associazioni di impresa. La Fondazione per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile pubblica studi e ricerche, coinvolge gli stakeholders e collabora stabilmente con le istituzioni nazionali, internazionali e con le imprese. Raimondo Orsini è inoltre docente, formatore e comunicatore sui temi dello sviluppo sostenibile e della green economy. Raimondo Orsini is the Director of the Sustainable Development Foundation, the main network of the Italian green economy, composed of about 120 companies and business associations. The Sustainable Development Foundation publishes studies and research, involves stakeholders and collaborates permanently with national and international institutions and companies. Raimondo Orsini is also a teacher, trainer and communicator in the fields of sustainable development and green economy.

Roberto Spaggiari

Farmer + archeology expert

Roberto Spaggiari è laureato in giurisprudenza e in lettere ad indirizzo archeologico e, con il padre, è proprietario del Bosco Spaggiari, un appezzamento di 13 ettari a pochi chilometri dal centro di Parma. Sebbene oltre sette ettari della proprietà abbiano ottenuto lo stato di terreno edificabile ad uso residenziale, la famiglia Spaggiari ha fatto una scelta in controtendenza, decidendo non solo di non costruire, ma di piantare circa 15.000 alberi dal 2000 a oggi. Roberto Spaggiari has a degree in law and letters with an archaeological specialization and, with his father, is the owner of Bosco Spaggiari, a 13-hectare plot of land just a few miles from the center of Parma. Although more than seven hectares of the property have obtained the status of building land, the Spaggiari family has made a choice against the trend, deciding not only not to build, but to plant about 15,000 trees from 2000 to today.

Simone Bastianoni

Environmental Chemistry professor

Simone Bastianoni, docente universitario di Chimica dell'Ambiente e dei beni cultuali presso l'Università di Siena, ha realizzato con successo il progetto di decarbonizzazione della provincia di Siena. E' stato Presidente della International Society for the Advancement of Energy Research, ed è attualmente membro dello Standard Committee del Global Footprint Network. E' membro dell’Advisory Board della International Society for Ecological Modelling e della Società Chimica Italiana. Simone Bastianoni, University professor of Chemistry of the Environment and Cultural Heritage at the University of Siena, has successfully carried out the project of decarbonisation of the province of Siena. He is the former President of the International Society for the Advancement of Energy Research, and is currently a member of the Global Footprint Network's Standard Committee. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the International Society for Ecological Modelling and the Italian Chemical Society.
