Theme: Cause and Affect

This event occurred on
February 13, 2021
Rosebank, New South Wales
Australia

On February 13, TEDx is making a return to the Northern Rivers communities after a four-year drought. It seems the past four years should have been the most crucial time to fulfill TED's motto of 'ideas worth spreading'... Yet here we are having gone through hell and back of 2020 and still feeling more lost than ever as we proceed to enter the Age of Misinformation.

Luckily, as TEDxRosebank makes its debut entrance into the world, we have the ability to spread worthy ideas surrounding the theme of 'Cause and Affect'. As a personification of the typical 'Cause and Effect', the theme focuses on questions like; What is our purpose? How do we act upon our purpose? What is change and where does it come from? How can we affect others in a positive way? What is the significance of the effect? Answering them through an array of speakers each with their own cause in the world, such as; education, humanitarianism, mental health, drug addiction in youth, music and many others.

Zac Zinn

Gap-yearer
I was on my gap year after finishing high school and wondered about what project I could achieve in all my spare time. Lord knows how I came up with the idea to host a TEDx event and even thought I had the ability to do so, yet here I am. It's been a strange time but growthful time at that.
