In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Dana Shpak

G12 Student
My name is Dana Shpak, and I am originally from Israel. One thing I like the most is spending time with my family. For me, family is not only the family given to us by blood, but also the people that make us feel like home, those could be close friends for instance. I believe that we meet many people in our lives as well as experiencing and exploring new things for a reason, therefore a quote that always inspires me is: “Eventually all things fall into place. Until then, laugh at the confusion, live for the moments, and know everything happens for a reason.”— Albert Schweitzer. Every time when I feel upset, I remember that tomorrow is a new day and I should always try to make the best out of it, and that eventually everything will be fine

My name is Federica Maestri, I am Italian but I live in Luxembourg. I love spending time outdoor, with my family and having fun with my friends. My biggest passion has always been science. Medicine is about how finding a cure while research is about understanding the reasons behind: that’s why I would like to work in the scientific research field. A quote that inspires me is “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams”. It reminds me that in order to build a better society it takes strength and courage: the ones who have the power to change, hold the key to progress.

My name is Joanna Lippert and I am from Australia and Luxembourg. I love doing art and being creative, especially when it comes to my clothes, which is why I aspire to be a fashion designer. A quote that I live by is “life doesn’t matter, we’ll all be gone some day”, but I take this in the positive sense that it doesn’t matter what you do with your life as long when you get to the end of it you have no regrets, and that is why I decided to give my TEDx talk.
