In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Angela Bu

Student
Hi my name is Angela and I am a grade 10 student this year. When I'm not doing homework I'm either pondering life or procrastinating. Recently this procrastination has gotten worse as the lockdowns have warped my sense of time. In this talk I show my struggle in trying to win against the immortality of time and the pressure of always trying to finish work but also relax and find joy. I enjoy reading, writing, art, and going outside. If there was one piece of advice I would give it would be that no one can please everyone so stop worrying about what others think. Life is short. Don't let time, or anything for that matter, hold you back.

Justin Roethlingshoefer

Founder, Own It
At the age of 14, Justin Roethlingshoefer was already obsessed with peak performance. That obsession led him to a career first as a professional athlete and then as a strength & performance coach working with the NHL for over a decade. As the productivity hack industry continued to grow, Justin noticed that the very thing he had been hired to do for NHL players was being integrated into entrepreneurial life. The only problem was people weren’t actually getting anything out of it. The more entrepreneurs and business leaders that came to him for advice on what he was doing to stay on top, the more he knew that there was a place for something like OwnIt to help maximize the output of these leaders. A 3 time best selling author, TEDx speaker, and expert in the space of energy mastery, resilience, and performance, Justin lives between NYC and Miami with his fiancé and dog Del.

Natalie Allport

Former Team Canada Athlete + Entrepreneur
Natalie Allport is a former national team snowboarder who made the bold claim at 3 years old that she would go to the Olympics some day. In 2014, she had her chance, but fell short of a qualifying spot on the Olympic team, and ultimately retired from the sport shortly after due to injury and mental health. Today she is a successful entrepreneur, global CrossFit athlete, and passionate speaker, but her success is not because of those accomplishments. She prides herself on the lessons she has learnt through going ALL IN, falling short, and learning the art of failing forward. Natalie is a self-proclaimed 'proud try hard' and is determined to change the narrative that surrounds the word 'failure' as well as the limiting beliefs that hold us back from pursuing our greatest passions. After all, the biggest risk in life isn't going ALL IN and falling short, it's not trying at all.
