TEDxKULeuvenBrussels aims to tackle issues and discuss ideas that relate our present circumstances to future consequences while advocating potential solutions that can positively impact our future. "Are we ready for the future?" is a theme that will be creatively explored in various ways with an emphasis on innovation and inspiration, particularly because of how 2020 has transpired.

The event will be online and will be broadcasted via Hopin. It is free, but requires prior registration on our website.

Alea Fairchild

He executes this unique work through Carbon+Alt+Delete, a non-profit organization he co-founded to address the importance of the issue and the severe consequences of ignoring it. Philip Van Impe is a Brigade General (Ret) of the Belgian Armed Forces and a proven leader both as a soldier and as a citizen. His military career granted him remarkable insights and perspectives into the differing conditions, cultures, and leaders of the world. It is with these experiences and encounters that molded him into the astute leader he is today and positioned him to serve as the Chair of Leadership of the Belgian Royal Military Academy. As an avid academic, Stijn also holds a LL.M. in tax from the London School of Economics and a PhD in Law from KU Leuven. His TEDx talk will redefine the tax system and its relation to our individual lives. Stijn explains that each of us has an implicit social contract that binds us to the civilized society we all enjoy.
