Farid Noori

Student
My name is Farid Noori, 17 years old from Afghanistan. I have lived in Pakistan and Iran with my family as refugees during the Taliban years. Though I have lived through very hard situations, I have had the chance to pick up very good education with the support of my beloved family. I went to a Japanese-sponsored school for immigrants in Pakistan followed by admittance in Afghan Turkish International high school of Kabul. The town of Wilton in the state of Maine has hosted me for six months as an exchange student during the spring of 2011. Now, I am a first year student at United World College, USA. Seeing my fellow-citizens suffer badly, I have decided to help them with bringing better physical education in their schools.
