Alexandria Agresta

Thought Leader
Does time do stuff? Or do we do stuff? The truth is, things don’t actually take time in life. When we see greatness in action, or history being made, what was the thing they applied that no one else did? Alexandria Agresta breaks down how to step out of the construct of time and step into the flow of courage. Courage is the catalyst to be who you want to be and do what you want to do. Time is simply a witness.

Corey Spurlock

Spoken Word Artist
In a country seemingly at odds with itself, Corey Spurlock uses the spoken word to offer a different story, one of meaning and hope against the back drop of an unsure future.

Josh Hudnall

Lauren Danielle

Life Activist
My big idea is if we choose how we lived, can we can also choose how we die? In 2016, Colorado approved “Access to Medical Aid In Dying”. This allows an eligible terminally-ill individual, with a prognosis of six months or less to live, to request medical aid-in-dying to voluntarily end his or her life. While this provides a solution for end of life options for some, it simultaneously excludes others that may physically “live” for more than 6 months; however, exude no quality of life. My dad suffered from Parkinson’s disease and was rejected from any peaceful end-of-life options. He shockingly committed suicide to end his pain and now I am advocating for those suffering that feel that there are zero options.

Phoebe Stoye

Healthcare Innovator
Why is it so overwhelming to find health information on the internet, and how can we build technology to empower people with information that is both credible and relatable? Phoebe Stoye, a Harvard Neurobiology graduate who works to bring technology to healthcare, takes us on her journey through the seemingly unrelated problem of low participation in clinical research — and how it led to insight into the larger problem of finding health information.

Stephania Vasconez

Community Organizer
Although the pandemic has brought many hardships to our community, it has also presented the opportunity to organize and rebuild that intangible sense of human connection. Being forced to isolate and ultimately pause, gave us the gift of time to assess and focus on what truly matters. This talk will touch on Mutual Aid as a movement, why it works and what it means to our community and our volunteers. We will also discuss the direction of Mutual Aid in the Grand Valley as it relates to sustainability past the pandemic and the natural evolution of the needs of our community. The presentation is a collaborative effort between Richard Crespin and Stephania Vasconez

Tim & Richard

Trevor Yahn-Grode

Agriculture Versatility
Oil has found its way into just about every product on the planet, just look around you. If we're going to keep climate change to a manageable level by decarbonizing our global economy, then we need to find carbon-neutral ways to replace all of these materials that we're making out of oil today. Luckily, there is one renewable, carbon-neutral resource we have that can compete with oil in terms of its versatility: industrial hemp.
