In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Areti Kampyli

Areti Kampyli is a serial entrepreneur with 16 years of experience in product innovation, complex social impact projects, and a track record of developing award-winning products. Areti is the COO of Alice, a former corporate advertising manager at Ogilvy & Mather and a former co-founder of Yasmo, a networking app, which she turned profitable in less than two years. As well as leading impact measurement innovation at Alice, she manages all client operations and has won several government Research and Development grants, including two high profile UK government grants and projects funded by Vodafone UK, and several Blockchain companies. She is a regular speaker at social and Blockchain conferences including Bond, the EU's Global Blockchain Congress, and Coindesk. Areti holds an MSc in Media & Communications from the London School of Economics.

Callum McCahon

He’s an Executive Strategy Director & Partner at social media agency Born Social. Callum oversees the strategic output across the agency for some of the world’s most exciting brands. Joining the company from its beginnings, he has played an integral role in developing the agencies offering to keep up with the ever changing world of digital. He is a thought leader for the wider industry, producing pioneering work like ‘Brand Building on Social Media’ – proving that social can be used for long term brand growth, not just short term results. More recently, he has published ‘The Social-First Brand’, a blueprint for the brands of tomorrow. Callum has been featured in Campaign’s 30 under 30 List, and has been published in The Guardian, The Drum, Campaign, Digital and WARC on the role that social media plays in brand building.

Dan Kiernan

Dan is a careers coach who is passionate about helping people make good career choices. He works for Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He spent 6 years in a Fintech Startup and 10 years working for an Investment Bank. He also ran a nightclub, worked as a librarian, laboured for a blacksmith, worked as a personal trainer and shrink-wrapped carpets for a living - among other things. Having tried so many different paths, he thinks he’s perfectly placed to help others in their careers.

David Chreng

David is a tech investor and entrepreneur, one of the founding partner of LeadBlock Partners, an early-stage venture capital fund investing in B2B data-driven start-ups leveraging Blockchain technology. David has been an investor and advisor for tech start-ups for years, sitting on advisory boards, judge panels of incubators, hackathons etc. He is also a guest lecturer and speaker in universities giving presentations on various topics from venture capital, blockchain technology to career talks. During his spare time, David dedicates his time to mentor young talented students, and to support non-profit organizations to combat ethnic and social inequalities. In 2020, he also co-founded with two friends Generation MMXX with the mission to empower local entrepreneurs and start-ups in regions facing economic and social crisis, providing a sustainable route to a better future.

Elena Reva

Elena Reva is a multi-industry entrepreneur and co-founder of dermoi!, a beauty-tech platform that opens access to results-driven skincare solutions, knowledge and expertise. Dermoi! allows clients to book clinical facial treatments at their home, using cosmeceutical grade products and technology to provide material improvements in skin health and overall wellbeing.

Gabriel Bean

Gabriel is on a mission to ’cut the cr*p out of food and drinks. He started his first drinks business, a raw coconut water company when he was at university; with a simple idea to use raw coconut water as the best natural cure for a hangover. The experience opened his eyes to the amount of bad stuff we consume daily. Now, through his work at GROUNDED®, he has waged war on it and believes that in today’s new world there’s no reason why we should settle for anything less than what’s genuinely good for us.

Kim Rowell

As a Digital commissioner, Kim produces documentaries for BBC Three and BBC News targeted at young adults; with projects such as ‘False Hope? and Alternative Cancer Cures’ which saw the Cancer Act debated in Parliament. She’s held previous roles at the Telegraph as Commissioning Editor and Executive Producer on Bryony Gordon’s ‘Mad World’ and ‘If I Can Do It’ mental health podcasts, of which the Prince Harry episode made global headlines. Kim’s mental health children’s book ‘Townie Spider’ was released in 2019.

Nick Bennett

Nick founded Fika the Mental Fitness platform after a personal tragedy and is now helping to reshape the future of lifelong learning by bringing mental education and mental fitness into our teaching and duty of care frameworks in education and the workplace. He is committed to changing our perception of mental health and fitness and bringing about a major culture change to offset the global problem of mental health decline. Prior to Fika, Nick was a professional artist, head chef, managing partner of a top 100 digital agency, chief product officer in various data science startups and owner of a positive vibes fashion label. Married with 3 kids, he is usually found working, drinking coffee and trying to cheer people up with banter and dad jokes

Rachel Martin

Rachel is a speaker, an author, a business owner and most importantly... an accountant! She is the founder of accountant_she, a female-led accountancy firm that specialises in working with entrepreneurs, influencers and business owners.

Rebeca Querub

Rebeca Querub is a strategic partnerships manager at Zettle by PayPal, in the UK. Zettle provides tools to small and medium businesses to get paid, sell smarter and grow their business. Among other initiatives, Rebeca is passionate about helping female-founded companies, as she is one herself. Rebeca is also a member of Unity, a community of allies working together to empower women at PayPal. She is also a wife and a loving mother of two girls.

Thomas Vosper

With over 14 years in eCommerce Thomas J. Vesper has a long record of delivering growth for many of the largest names online. During over six years at Amazon, he led strategic seller acquisitions; executed new category launches; and delivered cutting-edge merchant services. After moving to Tesco, he tripled their marketplace business in twelve months. He founded online shopping marketplace aisle 3 in March 2020. Thomas has a detailed insight on strategy, performance marketing and operations across thousands of eCommerce sites, high street stores, and digital marketing agencies.

Vincent Fraux

Vincent Fraux is a co-Founder of Oxford Space Systems (OSS), a multi-award-winning UK space hardware company developing novel deployable structures for satellites. Vincent is a passionate Space Mechanical Engineer with a MSc in Astronautics and Space Engineering and more than 14 years of space hardware design experience including at Airbus Defence & Space and ABSL Space Products. In 2013, Vincent co-founded Oxford Space Systems with 3 other partners, to address the Space Deployable Structure market. OSS has now more than 50 employees and is highly recognised within the global space industry.
