Theme: Possibility Has Many Faces

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Artist

Fagbenro Christiana Boluwatife also referred to as _TifeChris_ is a visual Artist who is currently studying Geology at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago –Iwoye Ogun State. TifeChris started making Art at a very young age of 5 and later developed interest at the age of 18 when she learnt how to draw using oil colours and pencils. Her passion for Art grew stronger when she discovered its beauty and a means of expressing herself. She is a lover of science and very active in sports in the likes of swimming and basketball. She’s the founder of the Brand ‘TifeChris’ a registered business where she aims at connecting Art with our daily lives and shares her Art to the world through Poetry, Stage painting, Murals and Music. She is an active member of Junior Chamber International (JCI) and a member of NGOs that aim at making positive impact in the lives of others.

Charles Besidonne

Drug Development Enthusiast

Besidonne Charles is a researcher, drug development enthusiast and co-founder of Resvey Limited- a research firm based in the United Kingdom. He is an alumnus of the Nottingham University Business school- with a masters in Applied Biopharmaceuticals Biotechnology and Entrepreneurship. Charles has experience working in the clinical research industry across regulations, and clinical data management. He is an affiliate member of the Institute for Clinical Research. Interestingly, Charles is a recipient of some awards, including the African Organisation for Standardisation first continental essay competition on the role of standards in promoting sustainable development in Africa. He is a Developing Solutions Scholar and 2014 best graduating student at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta. He is currently a Wellcome Trust doctoral candidate in Molecular Pharmacology and Drug discovery at the University of Nottingham in the UK.

Habib Lateef

Marketing Expert

Habib Lateef is a digital communications expert, content creator and coach with over 5 years experience in Marketing and PR. He has worked with top brands and individuals in creating working growth and marketing strategies and helping them scale. He presently leads the team at SireHabbiibb PR Nigeria, a marketing agency based in Lagos. Habib is an alumnus of the University of Benin and was recently featured as AFZ young personality of the day. Interestingly, he believes Amala is the best food in the whole wide world and speaks Xhosa, a south African language in addition to English and Yoruba language.

Praise Adeyemo

Global Health, Research and Grants Consultant

Having bagged her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, she proceeded to work in the public health space at Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh (DRASA) Health Trust. After her exposure to public health projects on infectious diseases, she went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in One Health from the University of London’s Royal Veterinary College and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. With a penchant for research, she is a member and African representative of the Young Women Research Team of WAGGGS researching young women in governance. She also consults for the Royal Veterinary College, London on a One Health Economics research. Dr Adeyemo is currently a Grants Management Consultant at the Lagos State Ministry of Health, where she takes on challenging responsibilities to synergize the close collaboration of the LSMoH with donors and partners on grants received. She is also involved in data analysis to inform decisions on funding for the Lagos State Health sector.
