She has been a journalist, India Cultural Fluent and Trend spotter, Qualitative Market Researcher and entrepreneur. She was awarded the Women Achievers Award by Young Environmentalists Association in 2013 and was nominated for the Femina Women Awards for Literary Contribution in 2017. The Indian Council of UN Relations (ICUNR) in association with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, awarded her the International Women’s Day Award 2018 for excellence in the field of writing. Her novella, 'Saving Maya', was long-listed for the 2018 Saboteur Award supported by the Arts Council, UK.

Starting at a tender age of 8, Richa learnt Hindustani Classical vocal musici under Guru Shishya Parampara from Shrimati Madhuri Dandge ji. Under her tutelage she has been recipient of Cultural Talent Search Scholarship by Government of India for over 10 years. As a working professional she continued singing by getting associated with non profit organisations like Natural Street for Performing Arts (NSPA) where she performed classical music for public in general be it at Natures Park/ Malls or even train stations!! .
