Alexander Genzel

Military Officer, former Aerospace Engineering student and Entrepreneur
Alexander Genzel is an officer in the German Navy and former student of Aerospace Engineering at UniBw. He now leads a technology transfer project sponsored by founders@unibw that deals with small satellite technologies for maritime security applications. In his TED talk, he will explain why satellite technologies are having an extreme impact on the maritime sector and why small satellites will revolutionize the way we keep our oceans safe and clean.

Ingo Baumann

Lawyer and Partner at BHO Legal
Ingo has more than 20 years of professional experience in the space industry. He wrote his PhD at the Cologne Institute of Air and Space Law on the international law of satellite communications. Before establishing BHO Legal, he was legal adviser within the German Aerospace Centre (DLR), becoming later the Head of the DLR Galileo Project Office, and CEO of DLR GfR mbH, the operating company of DLR for the German Galileo Control Centre. Ingo is member of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL), the European Centre for Space Law (ECSL), the Space Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) and various other professional space industry organisations.

Luisa Buinhas

Co-founder and Space systems engineer at Vyoma GmbH
Luisa is a Space Systems Engineer and co-founder of Vyoma, a NewSpace company based in Munich and Darmstadt. Having completed her PhD in the field of formation flying and maneuver optimization, she has spent the last years involved in DLR-led mission studies for satellite constellations both for deep-space and planetary applications. Luisa completed her Master’s degree at TU Delft, in the Netherlands in 2012, and spent six months at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a research intern. She holds an Amelia Earhart Fellowship from 2016 and is an active member of the International Astronautical Federation and Space Generation Advisory Council.

Nadine Chochoiek

Managing Director at founders@unibw
Nadine Chochoiek has been the Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer Officer and the head of the entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship program "founders@unibw" since May 2020. Within the scope of this activity, she builds a holistic support portfolio for aspiring entrepreneurs as well as entrepreneurial leaders at the Universität der Bundeswehr in Munich. Nadine holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Research from LMU, as well as a Master of Science in Management and Technology from TUM and researched entrepreneurial personalities and other success factors for startups as part of her dissertation at LMU and the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition. Furthermore, Nadine is an active part of the German and international entrepreneurship ecosystem to connect startups, universities, and companies.

Tony Colin

Research Fellow and Ph.D. Candidate in Space Communications at UniBw
ony Colin is a research fellow at the Munich Center for Space Communications hosted by the UniBw. Since 2017, he has been pursuing a Ph.D. degree contributing to the development of future mobile communications based on satellites. He completed a Master’s degree in Communications Engineering at the National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse in France, and an Advanced Master’s degree in Space Communication Systems at the ISAE-Supaero institute, also located in Toulouse. Tony is an alumnus of the International Space University and eager to share with you his fascination for space.
