Jasna Podreka

Sociologist, Teacher assistant - researcher
Dr Jasna Podreka is a Sociologist who works as a Teacher assistant and researcher for the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. As part of her research, she deals with topics of gender discrimination and violence against women, focusing primarily on domestic violence, sexual violence, violence in intimate relationships, murders and femicide. She shares her knowledge and findings in different fields. She has been a guest speaker for police officers, detectives, social services, NGOs and others that work in the field of domestic violence.She is an author and co-author of numerous scientific articles. She is the author of the scientific monography: Bila si tisto, kar je molčalo. Intimnopartnerski umori žensk v Sloveniji. She is a volunteer with Društvo SOS telefon za ženske in otroke žrtve nasilja (SOS telephone line for women and children victims of violence).

Lučka Bibič

Content Product Manager, Pharmacologist and Medicinal chemist
Dr Lučka Bibič, known to colleagues as Spiderwoman, has studied spider venom as a chronic pain reliever as part of her PhD studies at the UEA, School of Pharmacy. She is the creator of the scientific VR game “Bug Off Pain” for public engagement and education. She is a national Entrepreneurship Biotechnology 2017 Winner, internationally recognised as CAS Future Leader 2018 and has won the UEA Engagement Award 2018. She is also a Nobel Laureate Meeting 2020 Awardee. Lučka is currently a product manager at Dephion, in the Netherlands, where she heads different projects with scientific input for digital apps.When she isn't a spokesperson for scientific breakthroughs, she runs ultramarathons and brews her own coffee.

Maruša Juvanc

Musical Therapist
Maruša Juvanc is a qualified Musical therapist with a masters degree in Social work. Working with people, caring for others and helping those in need have been in Maruša's life since she was little. Music was always her companion in life and has always played a significant role. Maruša wanted to connect her love for music with the passion she had for social work so she continued her studies at the Knoll institute, where she studied Musical therapy and supervision. Musical therapy is a practice that is commonly used and well-known abroad. In some countries it is also legally mandated and included in recognized programmes. In Slovenia there are currently 13 qualified musical therapists working in the field. They are promoting musical therapy and advocating for wider use and inclusion of musical therapy in official government mandated programmes.

Veronika Tašner

Assistant Professor of Sociology of Education
Dr Veronika Tašner is an Assistant Professor of Sociology of Education, at the Department of Educaton Studies, Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana. She is a researcher of meritocracy, justice, equity, equality, inequality in education, gender and education, educational systems, violence and education, future of education and private schools. She is the editor and co-editor of various scientific monographies, including: Brez spopada: kultur, spolov, generacij, Prihodnost šole v družbah dela brez dela, Zasebno šolstvo v Sloveniji, Misliti socialne inovacije. She is also the leading force behind the book Nepozabne.
