Theme: City of Stars

TEDxLeQuyDonHighSchool: City of Stars is the first TEDx event in Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province. It takes place in the form of inspiring speeches in diverse fields and serves the purpose of nurturing passion, motivation as well as ideas worth spreading. Furthermore, it also has the mission of spreading the voice, image and spirit of TED to the people of Quang Tri.

Our event is aimed mainly towards students, who are under tremendous pressure in their daily life. It's the endless story about grades, the inferiority complex when compared with other children, the anxiety about the uncertain future, and all the anger, indignation when their viewpoints are not considered and respected. All of these have become the darkness overshadowing their fine qualities. They are always watching others shine, yet never stop to notice that a star is right there, deeply ingrained in them. And as a rule of thumb, they think that only solitude accompanies them on the path of proving themselves. Therefore, with the theme “City of Stars”, the organizing team of TEDxLeQuyDonHighSchool promises to accompany young people in Quang Tri on a long journey to discover the stars within. It is our belief that if those stars are brightened in time, we will create a shimmering city full of stars representing numerous promising young faces.

Co Ly

Mr. Ly Thanh Co works for Associate Creative Lead of Leo Burnett Vietnam but his interesting travel stories make him well-known to the public. Having been a travel enthusiast since 2014 and traveled to 39 countries, Mr. Co has gained a lot of precious experiences himself and shared them in his published books. Those changes has made him believe that travelling has the power to make a person more knowledgeable. “We are born with feet, for travelling”. With passion to share and encourage more young people to travel, Mr. Co travel stories are no longer personal experiences but the inspiration for the young to dare step out of their comfort zone and explore the world on their own.

Khanh Tran

Tran Bao Khanh is a sophomore in Ca’Foscari University, Italy, majoring in Philosophy, International Studies, and Economics with a full-ride scholarship. During her high school years, she attended the Vietnamese National Olympiad for 2 consecutive years, actively participated in Model United Nations (MUN) activities and eventually won the Best Delegate awards in a number of MUN conferences. At present, besides formal education, she is also a MUN tutor at Mogliano Veneto Liceo Berto High School (Italy).

Mai Le

Chi Mai, a 21-year-old Vietnamese, is an undergraduate at RMIT University Vietnam. She used to be a Full-time House Coordinator at Student Life Care during her gap year and she is now a Marketing Content Editor for eSpace Coworking. With her in-depth knowledge and hardworking, Mai finished her first year of Aquinas University (USA), then came back to Vietnam to pursue the Bachelor’s degree in International Business at RMIT University Vietnam. Her biggest goal, which is also her purpose of life, is to empower the younger generation to embrace unexpected uncertainties in the most authentic, candid and definitely - holistic way.

Trang Bui

Bui Mai Trang is a talented and beautiful national reporter of Vietnam Television (VTV). Not just that, she is also an English teacher, a personal development coach and especially, a Key Opinion Leader with over 87 thousand subscribers on her Youtube channel. Her passion is to help the youth turn motivation into practical action. With her full energy as well as her open-minded thinking, she has delivered various invaluable lessons to her followers.
