Theme: Student perspective

This TEDx event will be virtual. Students will record their presentation, and these will be compiled into a video which will be posted on the date of the event. This is to ensure the safety and health of both presenters and audience members.

Chinmayi Balusu

Chinmayi Balusu is a 17-year-old undergraduate sophomore at Columbia University pursuing a blend of neuroscience, life sciences, and medical humanities. She is the founder and CEO of an international non-profit organization named Simply Neuroscience which works to foster students' interdisciplinary interests in the brain. Outside of neuroscience, Chinmayi is an award-winning student researcher, girls in STEM advocate, martial artist, mentor, and curious nature explorer.

My name is Jacqueline Fox, and I am a rising senior at Agoura High School. I am on my school's competitive dance team, in the music program, and on Link Crew at my school. I am very passionate about social media and marketing, as I want to go into this type of field in college.

Hi! My name is Madelyn Setser, Maddy for short. I am a 17 year old girl from Agoura Hills that has grown up here my whole life. I love all things friend related and value quality time with those I care about most. Ultimately I just want to share some of my own personal experiences and help inspire people to be grateful for those they consider "home" in their life!

Rachel Fox

I'm Rachel Fox, and I am a rising senior at Agoura High School. I am extremely passionate about science, and I love learning about new scientific discoveries and the potential those discoveries have for the field of medicine. I also run a science competition team at my high school and am a co-President of my school's science honors society. I am a multi-year varsity softball player, the principal alto saxophonist of my school's top wind ensemble, an academic peer tutor, and an iOS app developer. In my community, I am a volunteer softball coach and have a leadership role with a local non-profit organization that plays music at senior homes and community events.

Hi! My name is Sophia Lieberman! I am a going to be a senior at Agoura High school this year. I am a very active member in my temples youth group and Jewish activism organizations. I love film and art and plan to, one day, incorporate social action and film making into my job.

I’m Tyler Humphries and I’m going to be a senior at Agoura High School next year. I have played varsity basketball all four years of high school and hope to continue my basketball career in college. I am also a leader of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at Agoura.
