In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Anouk Yeh

Anouk Yeh is a seventeen year old spoken word poet and organizer from the Bay Area. She was the 2018 Cupertino City Youth Poetry Slam Champion and a 2020 National Student Poet Program semifinalist. She serves as a California delegate to the International Congress of Youth Voices and is the founding Executive Director of Celebrating Differences Organization, a nonprofit focused on promoting neurodivergent awareness and inclusivity. Yeh’s work has been recognized by Stanford University, YoungArts and Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, among others and published in the Los Angeles Review of Books, the Reappropriate Journal and the Times Herald.

Harriet Harvey Horn

Harriet Harvey Horn is a Climate Reality Project Leader, one of over 31,000 advocates in 135 countries personally trained by former US Vice President & Nobel Laureate, Al Gore, to present the latest facts on the climate crisis & solutions. Since training in 2018, Harriet has addressed audiences across the country & logged over 250 other Acts of Leadership. She is also co-chair of the Climate Reality San Francisco Bay Area Chapter and is active with the Foundation for Climate Restoration, 350.org and Sierra Club. Prior to committing her energies to the climate, Harriet enjoyed a 35-year high tech career, in engineering, marketing, management & consulting roles. She also held numerous leadership positions on nonprofit boards & volunteer organizations. Harriet holds an MBA from Santa Clara University & BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech, as well as several climate-related certifications. She and her husband live in Los Gatos. They have two sons in their 20’s who fuel Harriet’s passion to restore a healthy, livable habitat on Earth.

Sonya Pelia

Sonya Pelia is a gender-equality activist with over 27 years of leadership, board, and volunteer work at the award-winning, non-profit Maitri empowering South Asian survivors of domestic violence in the Bay Area. She also serves on the board of the non-profit MoveUp and is an advisor to non-profit founders. Sonya runs a parallel career track as a Marketing Executive in B2B high tech, is a Founding LP at the VC fund How Women Invest, mentors tech startup founders, and is part of several networks championing women leadership. She is the recipient of numerous awards.

Vignav Ramesh

Vignav Ramesh is a junior at Saratoga High School. He is fascinated by the intersections between technology and entrepreneurship. A serial “kidpreneur,” Vignav is co-founder and CEO of the tech startup Zigantic that provides game developers with playtesting insights from high school students. Zigantic has built a mobile application in use by 100+ testers, serviced 30+ game developers, gained over $4K in revenue, and acquired partnerships with global brands in the U.S. and U.K. An avid researcher, Vignav has helped lead the unsupervised language learning movement at the leading AGI startup SingularityNET; he has authored various publications with professors at SingularityNET and Stanford University, and his research has been presented at several international conferences. Other projects of his have won top 3 at LAHacks, HackMIT, and COVIDathon, three of the world’s largest collegiate and workplace hackathons. In his free time, Vignav enjoys playing tennis and practicing the double bass.
