In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Berry Billingsley is Professor of Science Education and Director of the LASAR (Learning about Science and Religion) Centre at Canterbury Christ Church University Berry leads the Epistemic Insight Initiative, which seeks to transform children's experiences of school so that there are more opportunities to ask and explore Big Questions across the curriculum subjects. See www.epistemicinsight.com Berry’s wider interests include young people’s engagement in science, artificial intelligence, Big Questions and how advances in science and technology are reported in the media. Equipped with a degree in Physics and a passion for asking questions, Berry’s first job was with the BBC where she produced and presented science stories for television and radio. This included BBC World Service’s ‘Science in Action’, BBC TV’s ‘Tomorrow’s World’ and BBC Education’s ‘Search out Science’.

David Zambuka

Comedian and Magician
David Zambuka is a professional comedian and magician and the world’s first (and only) Quantum mindreader. He successfully read the mind of Professor Stephen Hawking, appearing alongside the cosmologist at the Starmus Festival. Greg Stobbs

Artist and illustrator
Greg has worked on creative projects with people from reception age to degree level and beyond, to witness firsthand the freedom and fearlessness that comes completely naturally to young people, but often dwindles into adulthood. Inspired by the surreal, unexpected, profound and spontaneous, Greg Stobbs is an artist and illustrator who bridges the gaps between multiple disciplines and styles. Trained in fine art and sculpture; working as an illustrator, designer, graffiti/street artist; teaching and lecturing in illustration and visual communication, he has been drawing on walls, desks and textbooks since childhood. Richard Bundy

Systemic Practitioner and Musician
Richard is a Systemic Practitioner, qualifying in 2006 at The Regent’s College London; mentored by Judith Hemming, Richard Wallstein and Mark Wolynn. He's worked with international businesses as a member of Reconnect.space, the public and NFP sector. In addition to his individual and family practice, Richard has designed workshops for government-funded organisations, charitable and social bodies and The Scottish Police. In 2014 Richard created a project involving more than 100 children and their teachers in association with Dover Arts Development and The Big Draw National Lottery. The project explored underlying issues in teacher/child relationships through the medium of art, music, poetry and movement. Ruban Pillai

Stuttering awareness campaigner and charity co-founder - Stop Holding Back (SHB)
Ruban Pillai is a British born Tamil and he has been overtly stuttering since the age of 4. After over 20 years of silence, he started to speak openly about the topic to his family and community and has since given talks to help raise awareness of stuttering at universities, places of employment, TV and radio. As a graduate seeking employment in banking and finance, Ruban used to leave presentations and job interviews disgruntled and prospective employers told him that he could not progress due to his stutter. Ruban persevered and, alongside his full-time career, he has acted as a change maker within the industry to help ease the path for others experiencing the same challenges. Sarah Drage

Mental health charity founder and CEO - WarriorKind
Sarah Drage is the founder and CEO of the charitable organisation WarriorKind. She is a devoted daughter on a mission to quash the stigmas attached to mental illnesses. After losing her Dad in 2017 to alcoholism, Sarah leveraged her own lived experiences of loss, anxiety, OCD & PTSD, and channelled her trauma into founding the mental health support organisation WarriorKind, where encouraging healthy conversations around mental wellbeing is core in their mission to breaking down stigmas and supporting their community.
