Bertram Peterson

Bertram is a tree-hugging, dog-petting, book-devouring, lead-by-example optimist, in love with renewable energy and cycling. He holds a bachelor’s in sustainability engineering from Tec de Monterrey, an energy administration degree from EGADE Business School, and a master’s degree in renewable energy from the Delft University of Technology. He’s also the youngest NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional in Mexico. When not hiking or training for his next triathlon, Bertram can usually be found in his natural habitat; a pet-friendly café with a view.

Camyla Cueva López

Student
My interests include art, social movements, speech and debate, being aware of the emerging needs of others, travel, and foreign cultures. I enjoy learning from other people and their experiences, visiting new places, and trying new things. I believe my dominant skills are organization, public speaking, responsibility, discipline, and critical thinking. As for my achievements, I have won the speech contest at my school two years in a row and landed third place in the contest against students from other local high schools. I recently participated as a delegate in a Model UN. I have had the honor of representing the school in national meetings from the pastoral group. My main goal in life is to be happy, to be daring, to have the courage to go after what I want. I want to be surrounded by people that uplift me and motivate me, to give back to my community and the people that I love.

Daniel Basurto F.

Student
Hello, my name is Daniel Basurto Fojaco, I was born on June 15, 2002, in San Diego, California but have been living in Mexico my whole life. Since a young age, English has been a core aspect of my academic life, eventually, it has allowed me to have some of the most amazing experiences in my life. I took a leap of faith studied abroad for a year in a different country with a completely different culture from mine, that country was Taiwan. This shift brought about many things, it solidified my passion and love for music at moments where I would sing for audiences, at a certain point getting paid to sing traditional Mexican songs, as well as starting to write my own songs; not only that but it also introduced me to learning languages, with the first one being Mandarin. After 8 months of being abroad and enjoying life while relaxing for the first time in years, my time was cut short due to the ongoing pandemic.

Joanna Loaiza Campos

Hello, my name is Joanna Loaiza I was born in San Diego California on December 8th of 2002. Growing up I've had the pleasure of enjoying two different cultures because I attended my elementary school in San Diego while still living in Tijuana which allowed me to experience two different languages and cultures at the same time. English has always been a close language for me and I'm grateful for learning it. Sports have always been a way of venting my stress, relaxing, and meditating. Throughout my life, I've practiced gymnastics, tennis, volleyball, and swimming. My greatest hobby is reading. My academic achievements involve winning oratory and debating competitions as well as volleyball tournaments. I wish to travel around the world to learn about all the different cultures and customs to be a more diverse and open-minded person.
