In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Birgit Penzenstadler

Birgit Penzenstadler is a software engineering professor at Chalmers University of Technology and is well-known for her work on environmental sustainability. She is a co-founder of the Sustainability Design Initiative, which aims to improve sustainability research in technical fields such as computer science and software engineering. She is (to the best of our knowledge) the only software engineering professor in the world to also teach breathwork and yoga!

Claes Hemberg

Claes Hemberg is an independent economist, author, and lecturer. With a background as a journalist and later worked as a public economist at Avanza Bank, where he daily commented the public debate for decades. He has hosted live economic talk shows for arena audiences. He has also made Swedish tv-shows and received several awards for his work.

David Bryngelsson

David Bryngelsson is the CEO and founder of CarbonCloud. His mission is to change how the global food industry thinks about food and climate by combining his business acumen with a scientific understanding of climate change and food production. He has a Ph.D. and previously worked as a researcher on climate change mitigation at Chalmers University of Technology.

Fouad Youcefi

Fouad Youcefi is a reporter, investigative journalist, and television host for SVT (Swedish Television). He is also the former Chairman of Grävande Journalister, The Swedish Association of Investigative Journalism.

Fuad Shidane

Fuad Shidane is an entrepreneur and host of the podcast ‘The Side Hustle.’ During the pandemic, he interviewed successful business owners across Sweden and raised a starter fund for entrepreneurial ideas from disenfranchised neighborhoods like the one he grew up in. Connection for him comes from creating shared value.

Heidi Hay

Heidi Hay is an award-winning artist, a judge on" Inkmaster Sweden, and the first female tattooist to open a studio in Sweden (1992). Through her work as a board member of SRT (Sweden's registered tattooist organization), she has raised the status of tattooing in Sweden, where it is now officially recognized as a craft.

Kalle Norwald

Kalle Norwald is a psychotherapist, sexologist, author, and educator. He is a frequent guest on podcasts and television, including the role of expert advisor on the Swedish edition of 'Married at First Sight.'

Lara Eide & Filip Williams

Lara Eide was first on-stage singing at the age of 5. Since then, she has trained in Australia and performed in shows and musicals across Sweden. Filip Williams is a Swedish singer and actor, who participated in the TV show 'Idol'. Accompanying them on stage are musicians Elias Augustsson and Thiago Dalfovo.

Passion for Climate/Twisted feet - 5 Degrees

Passion for Climate is a collaborative project with Allmänna Arvsfonden (The Swedish Inheritance Fund) that draws young people together in their drive to raise awareness of the global climate crisis. Positive action comes in many forms, with Twisted Feet burning up the stage!
