In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Aayush Shrestha

Aayush Shrestha, a Stand Up Comedian from Kathmandu is also a Computer Engineer, an RJ, a writer and a Youtuber. He started Stand Up when there was virtually no stand up scene going on. He is one of the co-founders of the first Stand Up Comedy Group in Nepal; Comedy Tuk Tuk. With Comedy Tuk Tuk, he has been actively working to develop the comedy scene in Nepal. He has been organizing and managing Open Mics for the last 2 years. He was also the first Stand Up Comedy Act in Nepal to go viral. His 15 minutes stand up act titled "If Everyone in Kathmandu Were Newar" was able to hold a position in Youtube trending section for 2 weeks gathering more than 5,00,000 views across Youtube and Facebook. He was also invited to IME Literature festival in 2018 along with legendary Manoj Gajurel. Apart from performing Stand Up regularly, he is also doing a Youtube show called "Baaki Samachar", a parody satire news show, which is gaining a lot of attention

Dr. Lochan Karki

Medical Doctor, Associate Professor at Bir Hospital, Kathmandu, and involved in teaching of Post graduation (MD). The president, Past General Secretary of Nepal Medical Association (NMA) which is a professional organization of medical doctors in Nepal, established in 1951 and engaging in professional developmental activities of medical doctors of Nepal, and has several articles published in different medical journals on prime medical concern.
