In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Cameo Gore

Transformational Speaker & Coach
Cameo Gore is a transformational speaker & coach that helps her audience breakthrough and discover their own untapped talents and infinite potential. Cameo is the co-founder and CEO of Ignite & Expand, a transformational coaching company that offers programs and events designed to elevate entrepreneurs to create quantum leaps in their lives and businesses. Her passion is empowering others to tap into more purpose, potential, and abundance and manifest their best possible life. She has recently been featured on stage at WEX and has been seen on FOX News, The Huffington Post, Thrive Global, and I Heart Radio media. Cameo lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area and can be found playing in Lake Tahoe with her family connecting and being inspired with nature.

Dave Odd

Naturalist & Forager
Dave Odd has been a lifelong naturalist, forager, and humorist. One of his first businesses at the age of 17 was doing wildlife educational programs. He was a stand up comedian for over 15 years but retired to focus on being Chicago's only full time professional forager. Working with Chicago's finest restaurants and chefs since 2009, while also conducting his Eat the Neighborhood foraging tours and events, Dave has amassed a catalog of over 1500 edible and medicinal wild plants and mushrooms that he can identify. Mixing humor with knowledge he makes foraging easy to learn and understand in layman's terms.

Eleanor Kole

Senior at Michigan State University
Eleanor Kole is a senior at Michigan State University and Wolcott alumni. She is majoring in Food Industry Management and minoring in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. Her passion for food grew deeper during her studies at Wolcott. During her studies at Wolcott, she started a garden at the school and assisted in the application for the U.S Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools award. She has interned with a variety of companies including Charlie Baggs Innovations, Jewel-Osco, and Kraft Heinz.

Landris Barker

Author and Public Speaker
Landris Barker, Life Coach, Author and Public Speaker, is an Army Veteran with over 12 years of Coaching and Speaking experience. Originally from Memphis, TN, he was stationed in Joliet, IL as an Army Recruiter and has been helping to build and educate the community. Landris served 10 years in the US Army and was award several medals to include the Army Accommodation Medal and an Afghanistan Campaign Medal. He recently published his first book, “My Journey To Becoming A Better Me” and started a new course, “How To Efficiently Achieve Your Goals”masterclass. Barker is married and has five beautiful children, all boys and a baby girl. He enjoys playing piano and also serves as an IT Analyst for Joliet Area Community Hospice. He has a passion for helping others and facilitating them to their ultimate life goals efficiently.

Micah P. Becker

Student at Wolcott College Prep
Micah Becker is a Sophomore at Wolcott College Prep. She is new to the TEDx stage. Micah is the middle child with four siblings and lives with her family in Chicago. She is a gourmand of great foods. Micah is founding member and current captain of the school’s tennis and badminton teams. Leadership is a central theme of Micah’s life, whether in her family, school, or working to make the world a better home for all of us. She loves animals, especially her dog, cat, and all 10,000 of her buzzing bees. Everything Micah tackles gets others buzzing to make a change through her passionate example and hands on engagement.
