Our January 28th 2020 our TEDxKazimierzSalon is on the theme of New Year Resolutions. We will be showing pre-recorded TED talks relevant to making plans and New Year Resolutions whether for 2020 or beyond.
Please note that this is an event without live speakers* and in English.
The program will be as follows:
- Pre-recorded TED talks relevant to the theme to encourage and inspire thought, and reflection
- Activities and discussions about New Year Resolutions, on planning and living a great life
- Information about TEDxKazimierz plans for 2020 and beyond with Q&A
- Integration activities
- Community announcements/Open Mic - Get in touch if want to make a 1-2 minute announcement.
- Afterparty/Socialising in the bar
Given the excess demand for tickets to our last sold out event - (TEDxKazimierzWomen in Barakah Theatre on 7th December), we are applying audience curation to our Salon event for the first time on a pilot basis. We are raising the bar and giving first opportunity to apply to those who applied but didn't get a ticket to TEDxKazimierzWomen. Audience curation means we are not allocating tickets on a "first come first served" basis. We look at each application and award tickets to applicants who make clear not just how they can benefit from participation in our event but also how they can contribute, both at the event and using the ideas afterwards to benefit other people. This means that the people who come to the event are part of the reason for being there. This event will be primarily in English, but we will aim to make it Polish speaker friendly where possible.
We will notify early bird registrants about whether their applications are successful by 5th January 2020.
Doors open at 18:00, and we will start at 18:30. The event will take place at Hevre in Kazimierz.
