In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Ana Coman

Artist & Performer
Forbes magazine said she is a trendsetter and among the coolest youth of Bucharest. Unsettled and always in the search of new forms of expression and creative endeavors. She started singing at “Ana are cântec” on Radio Guerrilla, at first with covers and then evolving into a songwriter in her own rights. With live concerts at Expirat, Control, Femei pe Mătăsari, Rocanotherworld, Electric Castle and Focus în The Park, she launched her 3rd single in September 2019: “Contratimp”.

Andreea Catana

Medical Teacher, Scientist, Genetics Mastermind
Andreea is a former graduate of Carol Davila Medicine & Farmacy University and currently teacher within General and Dental Medicine university chair. She specialized in oncogenetics research and molecular biology. Currently chief lecturer of Molecular Sciences Department (medical genetics) and doctor in Oncological Institute Cluj. And collaborator with Genetic Center Lab, part of REGINA MARIA - Rețeaua Privată de Sănătate network.

Denisia Călin

Artist & Performer
Denisia Călin lives and works as an artist in Bucharest, is co-founder of the Garaj Gallery artist- run space and Contemporan Hair Space. Her artistic practice includes modern abstract murals and large-scale paintings and collages. Denisia has devoted herself to an on going art and performance project - our heartbeats. Her encompassing murals, large canvases and intimate drawings study the mechanisms of sensory perception. What happens when the body interprets a sound as a color. She grew up in Botoșani, finally moving to Bucharest after graduating from National University of Arts with a Master and Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting. Ioana Mischie

Transmedia artist & Futurist
Ioana Mischie is a Romanian-born transmedia artist (screenwriter/director) and transmedia futurist, awarded for filmmaking, cinematic virtual reality, and innovative concepts. Fulbright Grantee Alumna of USC School of Cinematic Arts (collaborating with the Civic Imagination Lab /Mixed Reality Lab / JoVRnalism /Worldbuilding Lab), and Alumna of UNATC, advanced the transmedia storytelling field as part of her doctoral study thesis completed with Summa Cum Laude. Co-founder and Head of Storyscapes, an NGO focusing transmedia storytelling and expanded narratives initiated in 2012. In between 2015 and 2020 collaborated as an arts-based research collaborator of CINETic, an Eastern European center focusing on the interaction between neuroscience and groundbreaking audio-visual paths. Starting with 2020, the protagonist of this bio took a leap of faith to design a fresh transmedia initiative conceived as a transdisciplinary, trans-generational and trans-real hub.

Mario Barangea

Lecturer & Free thinker
Mario is a lecturer and describes himself as a free thinker. His academic background includes religious studies and philosophy. He is also a lecturer on philosophy and ancient history. He is currently preparing for his Ph.D. in Platon psychology while encouraging people to be free thinkers and become the best, most authentic version of themselves.

Simona Tache

Therapist, journalist, scriptwriter, digital storyteller
Simona Tache is a former journalist for Academia Cațavencu, Cațavencii, Cotidianul, a TV scriptwriter, author of www.simonatache.ro and humoristic best-sellers. She is a writer, journalist and psychotherapist. After almost 8 years of work in publishing and another 10 in the written press for publications such as Tabu, Academia Catavencu or Cotidianul, in 2009 Simona decided that she never wanted to be hired again. She worked for a while as a freelance journalist, and in 2013 she enrolled at the Faculty of Psychology and later at a master's degree with the same specialization.

Yolanda Crețescu

Journalist, scriptwriter, digital storyteller & therapist
She is a psychologist and Adlerian therapist, president of Happy Minds Association and creator of depreHUB. Yolanda is the restoring specialist, giving us hints on how to fix what’s broken inside us while continuing to live life at its fullest. With over 15 years of professional experience, of which 7 years in the field of applied psychology in the field of national security, Psih. Yolanda Cretescu laid the foundations of depreHUB - the first antidepressant hub from Romania with the aim of bringing together all the services of prevention, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and psycho-social reintegration. Psych. Yolanda Crețescu has experienced a wide range of activities, both in private practice and in the field clinical psychology and psychotherapy for adult, child, couple, family, as well as in the corporate field (organizational climate analysis, organizational diagnosis, selection and evaluation of staff).
