In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).

Technology is a powerful tool. Aisha, a sophomore at ACS, will be talking about CRISPR: a new technology opening doors to a whole different world of genetics and creating significant debate over the morality of the results.

A junior at ACS, Dalal will be talking about a new memory enhancing technique that combines her passion for art and future aspirations in architecture.

A junior at ACS, Daniel will talk about two forms of internalized oppression: internalized racism and misogyny. In an engaging and thoughtful speech, he explores how we can rid ourselves of this self-hatred.

Dhairya Ghai

Dhairya, a senior at ACS, will be talking about his personal hardships with the card game, "Monopoly Deal," a simplified version of the classic Monopoly Board game. He will apply the ideas of hindsight bias and forecast illusion to everyday life, and explain how the present is much more important than it seems.

Many people complain about the difficulties of living in Jordan and leave once they graduate, but have we ever considered staying and working to make Jordan a better place for ourselves and others? Inspired by her Jordanian pride, Mona, a sophomore at ACS, will be exploring the multitude of ways her community and country could be improved by Jordan's youth.

Nadine is a sophomore at ACS, and she will be talking about how the livelihood of refugees in Jordan can be improved through new technological solutions.
