The first TEDxCrenshawSalon of the new year with highlight individuals and big ideas in Health Tech, Health Entertainment, and Health Design. The event will feature Lauryn Nwankpa, Head of Social Impact at Headspace; Zoanne Clack, Writer and Executive Producer of Grey's Anatomy; and Rachel Ceasar, Founder of Culture of Health+Tech Consulting. TEDxCrenshawSalon will feature live talks, interviews and a Q &A session.

Rachel Ceasar

Founder
Rachel Carmen Ceasar, PhD, is a health and tech anthropologist and the founder of Culture of Health+Tech Consulting, a woman-owned research and design firm in Los Angeles specializing in culturally-responsive approaches to health and tech issues. She is also a National Institute of Health-National Institute of Drug Abuse researcher at USC where she is examining the impact of cannabis on opioids use, and women’s use of cannabis during and after pregnancy.

Zoanne Clack

Writer + Executive Producer, Grey's Anatomy
Dr. Zoanne Clack is a writer and executive producer on the award-winning hit ABC series “Grey’s Anatomy.” She has been with the show since it began and also acts as a medical advisor, assisting in production of all medical aspects of the show. She attended Northwestern University, UT Southwestern Medical School, and Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. She completed a residency in Emergency Medicine, a fellowship in Injury Prevention, and spent a year at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in International Emergency Medicine. She is a staunch advocate of promoting public health issues through the media, serving on the board or as an advisor for several global health groups that teach through entertainment. She served two years on the Board of the WGA, was a member of the negotiating committee, and is a Trustee on the PWGA Board of Directors. She is even more privileged to have become a mom to her son in 2013 and twin daughters in 2014.
